Thanks for taking a look at My Vacation Property Rental (MVP Rental). I've owned and been renting homes in this Pocono resort community since 2011. Over that time, I've handled thousands of reservations, received over 500 5 Star reviews, and developed the knowledge to offer a retreat from today’s fast paced life that both you and your pets will enjoy. Having multiple game room spaces, your family will always find something to do, whether the arcade machine in the finished basement, or basketball shooter on the loft, they will be occupied. If you’re a pet lover, you’ll probably feel better about giving your dog the fully fenced in back yard than you will giving your kids the game room spaces. The wire mesh goes from top rail to the ground. We have never had a reported escape, but deer often jump it to graze in the yard.

The house was what we needed.. It was spacious with a huge yard for the pooches. The Game room was a blast every night and location was where we needed to be for daily hikes and a trip into Jim Thorpe. Would definitely recommend this place.

Cute house! Game room in basement was great! The beach and boats in neighborhood community center looked like fun but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. The House was clean and comfortable. perfect 4 day getaway
Family of 5 traveling with 1, 3, and 6-year-old and dog. There was ample room. The game room was awesome. Kitchen with all the necessities. Lovely back yard for the kids and dog. We used the boats on the lake ($20 per boat per hour). We hung out in the pool which was nice, not extravagant but what we were expecting. The lake front beach was fun as well. One week day we were the only people there for a couple of hours and another week day it was packed. We ate several times at the snack bar by the pool. It was surprising good and fresh food at a great price. I would recommend bringing groceries with you if you plan to cook as the nearby grocery store is sort of slim pickings. Overall it was a great trip, exactly what we were expecting by the description and reviews on google, and would recommend to anyone looking for a low key getaway.

Property is well appointed, functional and owner was very prompt with communication. Super large deck with outdoor furniture and grill. Fenced in yard is a great bonus for pets and kids. Kids had a blast roasting Marshmallows for s’mores. Bathrooms nicely updated and kitchen is fully equipped. Lower level game room was enjoyable on rainy days. So many beautiful deer- moms, babies and huge buck roam the neighborhood. The lake was clean and the kids enjoyed the playground.All in all a great get away at a nice property.

Nice area but slightly disappointing
Pros: Area was beautiful and even though a bit remote and plenty of deer sighting, it was close to major roads and not far from eateries and so on. We even got to see a bear roaming out back. Basement was awesome, but after days 2 flies were getting in the basement and we didn't have any fly swatters or ideas how to get them out. Cons: Could use a good deep cleaning, cabinet doors were sticky and had a residue on them. Oven had a mess in it which when I notified, owner was quick to resolve. I was under the impression there would be basic cleaning supplies, but didn't find any. All we had was soap and water to clean up spills and counters. Pool had zero chairs, which I found very odd and wish I had been informed prior as this was the first year I didn't bring beach chairs. Maybe these things were an oversight, was just was a tad disappointed.

Nice Getaway!
My husband, son, myself and our two dogs stayed for a few days. The dogs had a blast in the back yard! The house was perfect for the three of us and our dogs. The game room is really cool, although we didn't get much time to use it. Our host, Will, was very nice and responsive to a situation where something needed fixed. He came over in a timely manner to take care of it. We definately recommend and would love to stay there again!

What a wonderful time!
We planned a little vacation to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from college. We had such a good time. The house is beautiful and fully equipped. The basement full of games made the stay. We all had such a great time playing pool and ping pong. I love this place and would definitely go back!

Surprise family get away
Surprised my husband with a weekend get away with mother-in-law, Daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, and family pet (Otis, Great Dane)…met son, daughter-in-law, grandson in Jim Thorpe for a train ride Saturday. Friday night we ate at Baby Boomers which was 6 minutes away and returned Saturday for breakfast!!! So delicious and all enjoyed the chef’s cooking & large portions. Dinner reservations Saturday night at Macaluso’s 20 minutes away was just as delicious. We had more than enough room plus Otis had enough room to run in the enclosed back yard. We played all the games in the basement enjoying each other’s company. Thank you Will for the opportunity my husband said he will never be able to beat the experience.

Loved this house! I had my dog with so the fenced backyard was a hug bonus! It was also my birthday and my sister came to visit for the day so the basement game room was super fun. Will was a great host as he was very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Good location, but not as nice as in listing
Good location with a private & quiet backyard. Game room is nice and as described (except all the ping pong balls were dented and the pool table light doesn’t turn on). Overall this property needs maintenance. What you see in the pics does not fully reflect what you are getting now and when I inquired with the owner, he was unresponsive. We will not stay at an MVP property in the future. Little things add up: - very long dark hair in downstairs shower - food crumbs in the downstairs bed, under the comforter & white marks/stains on the comforter and pillow case. - the sofa had wet sticky cereal stuck between the cushions - the sofa and pillows are well loved and starting to look old (and not blue as pictured ??) - it was very cold in the house the first morning (56 degrees). One baseboard heater in the LR isn’t working and the other took over 3 hours to increase the heat 4 degrees. - the fireplace would not turn on with the remote (no extra batteries I could find) - we could not get the ceiling fan in the upstairs Queen bedroom to turn on (batteries?) - the blind in this room is too short, letting early sun in, and the window has no screen - the upstairs bathroom fans squeaks and rattles - nearly every frying pan was unusable with scratches/scorch marks/baked on food and the closet itself is filthy - all but one plate was badly chipped and if the house is at capacity, there are not enough (& also not enough glasses) There is an overall lack of upkeep throughout.

House is exactly as advertised. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and our dog, but could have easily handled a larger group. The fenced in backyard was great for running the dog around. If the weather was nicer we would have spent much more time out there. The key to the house is the game room in the basement. very high quality games that had the kids and adults entertained the entire weekend. Will the owner was very responsive when we had questions about the fireplace. i would highly recommend staying here if visiting the poconos.

Wonderful Stay!
We had an amazing weekend. There were two adults, three teenagers, and two doggies and everyone enjoyed their time at the house. We found the house to be very clean and spacious enough for all of us. The dogs absolutely loved the fenced-in backyard to run around and play in the snow. The kiddos loved the basement with all the fun games. The owner, Will, was very communicative and even helped us to check in a little early due to some bad weather (which we really appreciated). We would love to return in the future for another wonderful Poconos adventure!
