The rooms are nice and clean. There are just so many to improve. We didnt expect that they dont offer free wifi which is very misleading. You have to go their dining area to connect to their wifi and to pay for it. Its so inconvenient for people who want to rest in their room especially for foreigners who only rely on wifi since we dont have any philippine sim to buy data. We also dont like the water pressure in their bathroom. It was so weak and the water barely comes out from it. Maybe its better to have a pail and a dipper to have another option. A quick shower will not do because their water takes forever. If you need anything, you have to walk to the lobby/dining since they dont have phone in the room. Their tv/cable was not working at first because it was expired and they didnt check it which they should have since they know that people are checking in on that day. No trash can in the room only in the bathroom.

The staff was brilliant, I recommend staying here for kawasan falls canyoneering and book directly in this place, we had an amazing private tour for only 1100 pesos each and lasted abour 3-4h with food and water also. Much better than a group as we could take amazing photos and they took us early to avoid the crowds.
The hotel room was clean and there is air con (bit noisy). The tv only has 1 channel but tbh we were too tired to be watching it.
Also the wi fi is not free as advertised, there is a machine 5 pesos gets you 1h of wi fi but doesnt reach the rooms (this didn't bother me im on holidays not to be on the phone).
The beach outside of the property is not really a swimming beach, more for the view. Malboal is about 30min away by bike or bus (just flag a yellow bus is like 32 pesos per person soooo cheap) and there are plenty of beaches there.

We really had a pleasant stay in Matutinao Beach and Cottages. Staff were very accommodating, rooms are clean, nice front beach view. They assisted us with everything. The food was great. We love the vegetable lumpia so much. You can also book your canyoneering experience with them. They made everything convenient for us. Location was perfect, as it is situated near the exit of Kawasan falls (Although, you will begin your spelunking/canyoneering experience in Badian) We were assigned to kuya Elmer for the spelunking. He's helpful and patient especially with those who are afraid of heights. He will even jump with you if you're too scared. We will come back here again.
