Great house if you want peace and quiet
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat house if you want peace and quiet and don't want to be in the hustle and bustle (beach and nice villages are at least a 35-minute drive away). Wifi works quite poorly and occasionally the steam cuts out completely. Swimming pool is lovely and it is very nice that there is air conditioning in the bedrooms. Trevor and Alicja are nice people, but were strict about imposing rules.

Publié le 8 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay - Lemon Tree Cottage is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area.
Trevor and Alicia are fantastic hosts and provided everything we could possibly need for our holiday - from towels for the pool to deck chairs and beach umbrellas and even a cool box for picnics. They live on site so are nearby to sort out any issues - particularly useful if you lock yourselves out on the first day, as we did! (Tip - take the keys outside with you so you can always get back in).
The cottage is beautiful (excellent air con) and the huge pool was an instant hit with us all. Fabulous gardens and the view is breathtaking. (Tip - bring insect repellent for the evenings).
Situated in the hills and a bit 'out of the way', the area is very quiet and you will need a car - we found driving very easy and safe - everyone seems very friendly and courteous on the roads.
We enjoyed visiting the town of Loule and the harbour at Vilamoura and highly recommend a guided kayak tour around the costal caves at Benagil.
We travelled with 2 teenage sons and they enjoyed the pool and chilling on the sunbeds. For bright lights and excitement we visited Albufeira which thankfully has an escalator down to the beach! The boys were happy to enjoy a burger and watch football on the massive screens!
Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lemon Tree Cottage. Thank you Trevor and Alicia.

Very friendly hosts and very helpfull😃
Amazing garden.
Just outside you reach a lot of tracks and if you walk on the public road there will be almost no cars/traffic. I never visit a place with such quiet road.
Just perfect placement to reach beach/cities and other nature within 30min.

The Swimming Pool
Publié le 30 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWe loved the Lemon Cottage, it was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to spend our days by the pool and go village exploring at the end of the afternoon. We did just that and loved it. The fig tree provided us with daily fig amazing luxury every day. The pool is heated and super beautiful and clean, lots of towels for our 15 days stay. The only little problem was the internet, there is no internet or smart TV in the Cottage. We used our own smart phones as hotspots for internet.

Geweldige woning in de Algarve
Publié le 24 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWij hebben één week doorgebracht in deze geweldige vakantiewoning. De eigenaren hebben echt een heel mooie plek gecreëerd. De tuin is echt adembenemend mooi. Overal zijn zitjes en er is ook een sportveldje aanwezig waar je kan badmintonnen of volleyballen. Het zoutwaterzwembad was fantastisch. De eigenaren, Trevor en Alicya zijn erg behulpzaam en hebben ons goede tips gegeven, zodat we veel leuke uitstapjes in de omgeving hebben kunnen maken. De week is voorbij gevlogen. We hopen in de toekomst ooit nog eens terug te komen.

Mooie locatie in de rustige heuvels van de Algarve
Publié le 20 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayTrevor en Alicya hebben ons zeer vriendelijk ontvangen in dit mooie verblijf. De woning, het terras en het zwembad waren picobello. De eigenaars verblijven op dezelfde locatie maar zijn zeer discreet. Bij aankomst kregen we wel meteen een behoorlijk aantal regeltjes mee (do's and don'ts) wat enigszins benauwend overkwam (we werden bang om iets verkeerd te doen), al was dit zeker goed bedoeld.
Wil je graag de stranden en bezienswaardigheden langs de kustlijn bezoeken, dan moet je wel weten dat dit steeds minstens 30 a 40 minuten rijden met de wagen is. Zoek je vooral de rust op, weg van de toeristische drukte, dan is dit een ideale plek.

The pool and the garden were just fantastic. There is absolutely no reason not to return en every reason to do return.
