Sure - you travel to Salema. That's right!
But when you enter 'Saudade' you will be kicked out of time and place. You dive into a manifested dream of the phantasie of a person you probably will never meet but you will love her effort to make her dream come true from the first moment.
Sure - not cheap - but you'll will never find a KICK like this very soon!
WE loved it and were totally out of time and place as we stayed in 'Saudade'.
Thank a lot - with a deep warm smile from our hearts.

Flying ant infestation

I would not recommend anyone stay here.
The host has been less than understanding in this situation.
Just so you are aware there are also several cats that seem to live outside the front door.

We would have been happy to help you. But you left left the place neither with prior notification to us nor to VRBO. So we were not given the opportunity to help. It took us two minutes to remove the flying ants with the vacuum cleaner. The issue was solved but no guest left. Out of pure goodwill we nevertheless offered a partial refund.
Note: we are located in the Costa Vicentina natural park surrounded by beautiful nature. Flying ants in house and garden are completely harmless. Their only goal is to find other ants and they are attracted to the light if you open windows. Nonetheless, we obviously have anti ant measures in place to avoid them coming into the house.

Publié le 24 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe parking and unloading of suitcases was an issue. We had to park in town and walk everything in. We knew parking would be hard but did not expect it to be so challenging to unload suitcases.

Public parking is 170 meters. To unload you can drive the„Rua dos Pescadores“ up to the corner „Beco Primeiro de Maio“ only 38 meters from the house door. It is a narrow road. The house is located in the sought-after old and idyllic part of the small village. No big streets but just 50 meters from the beach. If you need private parking nearby then ask us. We can offer you to book a private beachfront parking, which is 125 meters away.

California Surf in Portugal

The town is perfect for a quiet get away and very off the tourist track it reminded me a lot of Southern California with the surfers! Fantastic host who was flexible on our check out (Thanks!) We plan to come back later in the year.

Is on a nice quite back street that is a very short walk from the public parking spaces, the ocean and many resturants. Host provided ample informatoin on how to find the place and check-in which made the process very smooth. Would definitely stay there again!

Romantic, Amazing

A quaint seaside town we were located just steps from the beach and ocean and we able to enjoy a space away from the masses. This home has a private plaza, a private balcony and a lot of character. Highly recommend if your looking for a quiet home base in the Algarve!
