Avis Luxury Penthouse by the Sea, Ocean Blue By EnjoyPortugal

Spacious penthouse 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment (also with two double bed sofa beds in living room). Elisabete allowed us an early check-in and showed us around. Modern kitchen well equipped with dishwasher, oven and microwave. Wraparound balcony afforded amazing views of beach and sea directly outside. Supermarket a short walk away and good choice of cafes, restaurants and bars all in close proximity. Vilamoura within walking distance too.

Large central condo with parking spot. IT STOPS THERE. Check in smooth, mother & son drove 3 hrs from where they live to greet us. They were very pleasant and explained how everything worked. I mentioned to them that it was very hot in the condo. They made a thermostat adjustment. After we received keys we had time to settle in and look around. We noticed that it was a 2 bedroom not 3 as advertised. They mentioned that the pull out couch in the living room is the third. My feet were black from walking around & I could feel beach sand. Inside the fridge was not wiped clean. Glass on oven door was filthy with grease. Faucets in washrooms were still dirty. Place wasn’t cleaned properly. I contact the son and mentioned that AC wasn’t working. They quickly came back and with the technician on the phone tried to resolve. I then mentioned to the mother that the place was dirty and my feet and white flip flops filthy. She said it’s the type of floor. (It’s vinyl floor) She did clean the interior of the fridge and front of stove. They couldn’t get AC working and said tech was coming at 7pm. I asked if they were going to come back later for the tech as we were going out for dinner and they said yes. We went to pick up some groceries before dinner and when we arrived back at the condo we heard the shower running?? We found her standing in front of my daughter’s washroom with damp hair and her son in the shower. They were also using the washing machine while we were out. We were in utter disbelief and in shock. My 23 year old daughter was in utter disgust as all of her personal belongings were in the shower and in that washroom. I waited a couple of minutes and confronted the mother who was standing in front of the washroom doorway with her son. I asked if she was now going to clean the shower & washroom after using it. She said that her son was not showering he was cleaning the shower drain! Both my daughter and I saw her son in the shower when we walked by. I played along with her …I didn’t know what to do. This was our second day, Condo paid for, it’s our vacation …we wanted them out. We played along and walked them out. This was an INVASION of our PRIVACY. My daughter’s soap in the shower was wet. She never used that shower again. I would NOT recommend. How could anyone take advantage and invade a clients personal space.

O apartamento está muito bem localizado e tem uma vista espectacular. Está bem equipado, os quartos e sala são espaçosos e é bastante confortável.

New apartment with all mod cons. Lovely large king sized bed in master bedroom . Very useful having an en suite as well as a separate shower room with toilet. Owner very helpful and drove 3.5 hours to bring a second set of keys which unfortunately did not work. Advised owner that it would be helpful for guests to have instructions on how appliances worked. Overall a very good apartment directly opposite the beach and promenade There is also access to a roof terrace and the allocated secure underground parking space meant car stayed cool and no need to hunt for a space on the busy street. We would love to return to this apartment in the future
