Très belles vacances en famille
Publié le 12 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayLa villa est grande et très propre. Chaque membre de la famille avait son petit coin privé. Le quartier est tranquille en mai mais avec tout ce dont on a besoin à distance de marche, épicerie, resto, café…. La plage est magnifique! Nous avons besoin apprécié nos vacances à Manta Rota et à la Casa Betel!!!

Le point négatif est qu'elle se situe à coté d'une ferme donc des odeurs pas toujours agréables des animaux.

Excellent property, excellent location, excellent attentions

The property is located about 5 min from the Manta Rota village, very close to the shops and restaurants along the main street leading to the beach. Manta Rota is a great beach: a long and wide stretch of sand, flanked by beautiful countryside scenery. Despite our stay being in the thick of winter, it was sunny and warm throughout; and, although this was low season, there was plenty of local life.
The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the grounds meticulously maintained. Inside, it is large enough to accommodate a group 10 or 12 people. Outside, you can expand onto the two large patios where you can enjoy the weather. A well equipped barbecue area adds to the enjoyment of the outdoors. Everything is thoughtfully laid out for you to feel welcome and to enjoy your holiday.
Our interaction with Andrew and Marina was without a hitch. They responded quickly, professionally and efficiently to our messages.

Great location for family holiday
Publié le 15 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayAn enjoyable stay at this lovely villa. Heated pool was a highlight. The place is well equipped and in a great location for the beach and supermarket.
Some basic provisions (bread/milk/water) might have been nice on arrival as we arrived late in the evening, but overall this villa was a great location for a multi-generational family holiday.

Only one criticism - many of the sun-beds and garden chairs were broken.
If these could be replaced - it would have been perfect.

Cats
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThere are wild cats and dogs barking for the first two nights of our eight nights stay. We contacted the owners after day two thinking day one was just an anomaly and they advise that they have never heard of that in 18 years. The pool maintenance person said that there were cats all around the area and the Workers a couple houses down sad cats are wild. Looking from the top balcony, you could see shanty town of animals was really unattractive, and there were groups of cats that I thought during the day.

Thank you Lori for your comments. You will remember that we said to you that we had never had a complaint about cats in 18 years and this is true. We are aware of wild cats in Portugal and the Algarve. However, they have never been an issue with any other client, and we have never had an issue with them when we have stayed in the house. I can only assume that there was a disturbance on those first two nights and that it was specific to those nights and as Lori said, the noise was not repeated on the subequent 6 nights. We can only apologise for this but unfortunately, nature is not in our control!
