Sehr schöne Villa in Strand Nähe
Publié le 17 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWir haben uns mit 6 Erwachsenen im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Blick von der Dachterrasse ist fantastisch, das Haus großzügig und sehr gepflegt. Zum Strand sind es nur circa 5 Minuten zu Fuß.

Host attentive. Property manager quick to respond but did not always resolve our concerns/questions. Weekend property contact very nice but check in experience was poor.
Yard of home huge. Comfortable outdoor options. Did not use pool or fireplaces.
Well outfitted kitchen. Appliances worked well did not use the oven.
Washing machine worked well. Had to ask for a drying rack. Difficult to dry clothes. The air is very damp.
Check in process confusing on the weekend. Not much support.
Housekeeper visited the house Monday - Friday from 10-12. Thorough job. Time was inconvenient for us. We could not change that time or have them not come.
Wifi signal weak in bedrooms. Could not use it.
Bad musty smell in all bedrooms. Could not put clothes in closets due to smell. Opened windows. Still no better.
All in all great location, good house, manager support challenging. If the musty smell wouldn’t put you off, it would be a good choice.

Great location, readily available taxis, lovely restaurants

Perfect beautiful villa

Gloria came and cleaned every day (other than the weekend) which did take a bit of getting used to! But she kept the place tidy, recycling minimal, bins emptied, bathrooms clean and towels changed when needed so was very welcome!
The villa itself has three very spacious bedrooms all with built in wardrobes - two have double beds / mattresses, one a twin which we separated for our two boys... all bedrooms have aircon but the living rooms doesnt - it does however have wraparound patio doors so the breeze flows through and therefore is no problem.
The garden is magnificent as is the roof terrace for star gazing at night... if like us you now favour your phone for photos rather than a SLR, take it anyway for star shots! You wont regret it!
The pool was plenty warm enough without optional heating and there was plenty of loungers / seating available.
The villa is superbly situated at the end of the cul de sac so very quiet, but only an 8/9 minute walk to the centre of Carvoeiro - moreso coming back up the hill after cocktails!
The auchan supermarket in Lagoa was the best we found and is around a 15 min drive - but there is a small supermarket on the complex about 5 mins walk which had most things for lunches etc.
Overall, I can't fault this villa - it was beautifully decorated, well laid out, well equipped and perfectly maintained!

10 days of bliss
Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI’ve stayed in Carvoeiro 6 or 7 times in the last 20 years , and can say that this was the nicest villa I have stayed at , such an easy walk into town , but harder uphill coming home but only takes 5 mins.
Villa was well equipped and spotless , wouldn’t hesitate in returning .

Great holiday in a fantastic villa…
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe booked as six but ended up being four and had a fabulous couple of weeks in an area that we know very well… Carvoeiro has never failed us and we’ve been coming back on and off for 20 years.. With grown-up children in tow we needed somewhere bigger with more space and the villa was perfectly located fairly near to town .. The Monte Carvoeiro area is lovely with good amenities nearby .. The villa is beautiful and the kind of place you instinctively treat carefully like it’s your own.. Daily weekday service from the lovely Gloria was first class… Nothing to complaint about… only positives and that it’s booked throughout the year tells its own story… thank you.. !

Old Friends catching up in a beautiful setting

The staff was kind in Portugal and the owners made sure all went well. It was wonderful! The third bathroom being by the pool worked great! Thank you! Amazing! A+++++
