We stayed for a week in Alicante. We chose Dormirdcine Alicante due to the close proximity to the beach (only a 2 minute walk) and that it’s located in old town. We took the C6 bus for a few EUR from the Airport, 5 min walk to the hotel, took 20 mins)
Clean with quirky art deco style. We upgraded the first 5 days to a superior room (room 604) with terrace. Would really recommend this. The terrace was great to have in the evenings, it also had sun loungers and a outdoor bathtub. Nice interior, the only downside was that there is very little storage, could easily be fixed by putting in a few hooks on the wall to hang bathrobes etc. Also a few shelves would be great. We also stayed in a much smaller room (105) nice too, just smaller.
Nice breakfast, not so much savory to choose from, but excellent quality. We spent most days on the beach (sunbeds 27 EUR for 2) and then we ended up in the rooftop pool to cool off with a super G&T. Lovely bar area with a small pool. Looks bigger on the pictures – but lovely to just sit in and catch some afternoon sun. No kids when we were there – big bonus! All in all a great stay. If we come back to Alicante we would definitely stay her. Alicante is a lovely town. Everyone is so polite, no sleazy sales people, drunken tourists, beggars or stray animals. Loads of excellent restaurants to choose from too. Thank you!
