This was not as pictured when I booked the rooms. There were people coming and going that were not staying at the hotel. The staff at the desk were friendly. The AC in our first room didn't work they had to move our room.

The only difference on the photo with the actual room is that we have new linen and removed the bed runner.We monitor visitors during the day, that is correct that guests get visitors on a case-by-case basis. This was a well located property near the mall, the pool was a bit average and not in the sun and really cold. The two rooms I stayed in, didn’t seem to have any cold water in the taps only hot which was annoying. Also the property needs better signage to restaurant, it was a confusing place with no signs to anything. Room was comfortable (though check the window I was on ground floor and a huge window opened directly into the side street and was not locked. ) Otherwise ammenities and room were fine

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would like to provide you with a reply on your review:Our pool is partially cover due to the extreme heat during summer.Unfortunately, we were not aware you were experiencing issues with cold water; we apologize for that and have passed this on to Maintenance as well as the window not being able to lock.We recently painted the building and ordered new signage, these took some extra time to arrive as we are remote, although you received a welcome letter with a map which showed the building lay out.We hope this helps and get an opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

outdated and dirty

positives: Central location air con friendly staff Negatives: (not all are the hotel's fault but you should still be aware) dirty - lots of stains everywhere, weird smell, and found dead bug water tastes bad (I didn’t have this issue anywhere else in Alice Springs) the pool is falling apart, very dirty, and completely in the shade no microwave no soundproofing - you can hear other guests close their doors, walk around and talk not secure - anyone can walk in the front door, the hotel room doors are exterior, locks on doors are outdated, woken up in the early hours (3am) to people yelling and fighting The shower doesn’t drain properly so you're standing in a few inches of dirty water the whole shower it also has only one tiny holder to put your products only one main light and it needs to be changed it flickers when you turn it on and is very dim Do not disturb sign falls off easily - I was woken up by housekeeping staff to clean my room because the sign fell off

This helps us to improve our service further.We are glad you enjoyed our location and staff friendliness the most.In relation to the pool, it is partially cover due to the extreme heat in summer.We do have a microwave area available to all guests as mentioned in your welcome letter.We encourage guests to inform reception of any noise issues so we can address this accordingly.We are taking note about the bamboo do not disturb signs.Unfortunately, were unaware of the shower drain and flicking light, which we have not taken note for Maintenance to action.Thank you once again and hope to welcome you back in the future.

Nice hotel in a central and convenient location. Good bed, two good pillows each and bed lights - always essentials for a comfortable stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. The only downside was that there are no balconies on this older style hotel. But a very pleasant and comfortable stay non-the-less.

Room some what run down & not adequately cleaned. Random items found ontop of wardrobe. Bathroom floor grout colour is generally black, but light grey under the vanity ie flighty black.

It was a good room. Right at the heart of town. Quiet and spacious. We were not informed about breakfast possibities. When we asked they did not tell us it was until 8.30.
