Mountain View
This property was exactly what we needed. Cabin has a wonderful view of snowcap mountains. Neighborhood was very quiet and we even saw deer and moose during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in all this surroundings. We would definitely stay there again.

Canceled without telling us
We actually never got to stay at this property as our reservation was canceled without anyone notifying us. I had originally made this reservation months in advance, and when I went to view the listing to find out more details about the property I noticed the listing was no longer active. I had to reach out to the property management company (Evolve) myself to inquire if our reservation was still in place, and they ultimately confirmed the owner had removed the listing and my reservation was no longer in existence. This left me with just one month to find another available property for the 4th of July holiday. I can only imagine what would have happened had I not discovered this issue on my own. The team at Evolve offered me no assistance in finding a different property. I will be avoiding all properties managed by them in the future.

Snowy Mountain Getaway
This is a very cozy cabin in the mountains. There was close to four feet of snow on the deck when we were there during March for Spring Break. It is pet friendly (with a small fee) which was a plus for us! The rug in front of the fireplace had not been vacuumed when we arrived and there were other similar cleaniness concerns, but nothing huge. It is a cabin the mountains! Our only caution would be if you are a group of four and stay multiple days, you may run out of well water if you shower daily, run the dishwasher and need to wash a load of laundry. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again!!!

nice cabin in the woods
Well designed cabin in the woods. I have a cabin in Canada with the same outside dimensions. I liked the layout so much I want to finish ours the same way. This cabin had a cozy feel. The only suggestion would be to have better instructions on how to use the TV. Luckily we brought a fire stick and were able to watch the Super bowl on the stick. We also liked having the use of several condiments. Most VRBO's have an empty refrigerator. Thank you for letting us rent your property.

This cabin was a great location as a base for our explorations in Breck, FairPlay and Leadville. The house was clean, spacious, and the host provided all the essentials plus the extras to make it like home.

Perfect base camp for outdoor activities
I came to Alma to knock off some more 14ers and fell in love with the town and area. It’s a very small town but the people are very friendly and you’ll get to know the locals pretty fast if you spend any time around town. The cabin is off a dirt/gravel road with lots of wildlife surrounding it. I saw a fox every day and a moose family just down the road. Temps were just starting to drop while I was there and the cabin stayed nice and warm. The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking and lots of extras (spices, coffee, etc.). Unfortunately, I became sick while there so my hiking plans didn’t quite pan out but I was grateful to have such a great place to stay while under the weather. I reached out to the owner the day of departure to explain that I was really sick and didn’t have another place available until later that afternoon and since no one was checking in that day, he kindly allowed me to stay until I was able check in to the next place I had booked. I greatly appreciated this since I was alone and would have had to just find somewhere to lay down in my rental until my next check in. If you like small quirky towns, being away from all the noise and beautiful views, don’t hesitate to book this cabin. I hope to return soon.

Great Space
We really enjoyed our stay. We were thrilled to be able to bring our dog who had a blast for a very reasonable dog fee. There was a lovely walking trail along a creek at the bottom of Peterson. The place itself was very clean with tons of extra blankets and pillows. We had a couple of really fun family game nights using the board games while a fire crackled in the fireplace. Theres was plenty of firewood. Kitchen was perfect with everything we needed. Our kiddo loved the loft complete with some toys. Internet could be a little on the slow side but i had no issue streaming live shows including Youtube TV and netflix. I imagine zoom calls would likely be no issue. Easy access to Breck and Alma. We loved out stay. Already went to VRBO to check if we can rent it again.

We really enjoyed this cabin, a very quiet, clean place. The only drawback and no fault of the owner, one of the roads getting to the cabin is a bit rough riding. Overall, GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

Overall a good experience. The cabin is cozy; queen bed and bedding were comfortable. The cabin was clean and organized (everything is labeled). We had to bring our own firewood and fire-starter. The gas grill propane tank was empty. We prefer glass wine glasses over metal glasses provided. The kitchen was lacking pot lids.

High Country Escape
This was a perfect high-altitude setting in which to acclimate to the Rockies. The mountain cabin is thoroughly furnished and efficiently designed, set in a wooded hillside. Nearby towns of Alma and Fairplay are charming and low-hype with convenient access to dining and groceries. Breckenridge skiing is about a half hour away. Can't wait to return!

Cute Cabin in the Woods
My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to unplug with our 5 year old, and this cabin was perfect. My son loved the loft, and it was well-stocked with essentials, movies, games, and toys. It is also within a 20-30 min. driving distance to Breckenridge and closer to excellent walking trails. The cabin is a bit remote and the road to get to get there is unpaved. It also has variable internet and cell service, but that should be expected in the mountains. We found the cabin charming, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for in a quiet getaway in the mountains.

We loved the cabin and furnishings. Only negatives were the cell phone service was very poor even with booster and the water softener regenerated every third night at 12AM and woke us up.

Quiet living at it's finest
My wife and I recently spent a week at the property. The place is amazing as well as the community it is located in. The place has everything and is well maintained. GPS and cell service is sketchy at best so we advise following the driving directions the owners provide to you, the GPS will be wrong I promise. We will definitely be returning as soon we can. The scenery is beautiful and far enough from busy streets to be quiet but close enough to get what you need. Thank you for an amazing experience and we will definitely be returning.
