Nice weekend getaway.

The only negative was the constant boat traffic through the narrowing in front of the house. Many observed the no-wake consideration but others leaving the busy little dock next door seemed to try be as loud, and create as much wake, as possible.

Great vacation stay!

Wonderful House Horrible Stairs
Publié le 14 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was without a doubt the nicest home we have ever stayed in as a rental. The decor and the quality of furnishings were top notch. The view of the lake was stunning. I would however caution anyone who has mobility problems to look elsewhere. There are 43 steep stairs from the parking area to the house, and another 17 to the lower level, then another 32 from the lower level to the highest level of the lake when it is full. The last section has no guard rail. The lake is lowered 60 ft in the fall, this year 120 ft to facilitate needed repairs to the dam, and getting to the water to fish is tough, with loose rock and a steep drop to the water from the end of the stairs, but we did it. My wife and I are in our early 70's so the stairs were a challenge for us. Our daughter and her husband, in their 40's, had no problem. Other than that everything was perfect.

Publié le 27 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was beautiful and the lake was amazing. Dealing with the rental agency was easy and took care of any issues that did arise. The house was clean and had everything you would need for a week long stay. The location is super quiet and relaxing while not far from things to do. We brought our kayaks with us and took advantage of being right on the lake. We would definitely rent this property again.
