Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were four men--two men in each cabin (two beds/cabin). We cooked in the evening and ate like kings. The cabins were perfect for what we needed. Very clean and very nice. Each cabin is thematically decorated. We got the Native American and the Pioneer cabins. They are very cute and very spacious. The stove works good and the grills are charcoal. The porch is very big at each cabin and has nice furniture. We had a great time--thank you.

Cute cabin but dirty
Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe host was great with communication but our place was dirty. Floors weren't the best but what was really bad was hairs in the main bed. Long brown hair on the pillows and sheets. So I had to assume nothing was washed.
Also no salt and 1 coffee filter. Cute cabin but would not stay there again.

I am so sorry . We just hired a new housekeeper. Up to now all her cabin reviews have been 5 stars with comments of how clean everything was. She does have long dark hair so I will instruct her to tie it back when changing the bedding. Also I will remind her to refill all kitchen items.
Again, so sorry. This is definitely not our typical standards and has not happened since I purchased the cabins 5 years ago.

Perfect for much needed getaway.

Waking up to Elks bugling in the meadow was magical!
Just sitting on the porch listening to the birds, watching the squirrels, hearing the children in another cabin laughing, and watching the pines sway with the breeze brought a great sense of calm to my body and spirit.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comments. It is the exact reason I bought these cabins was for people to reconnect with nature and their own spirituality. Our society needs that and I am so happy that our cabins and their location has brought that to you. I am writing this with tears of joy in my eyes and heart that you found some calm and joy. You are always welcome to return. The fall is fabulous with the yellow aspens and the red-orange oaks. And the elk with their antlers, bugling for the females. Thanks again, you have made my year!

Perfect weekend getaway to unplug

Stayed in the "Pioneer" cabin recently when my wife and I were looking at a cabin to purchase for ourselves in the area. These cabins are definitely rustic with no television or wifi which we thoroughly enjoyed! Begin forced to unplug is a good thing in our book. If the purchase of our own cabin doesn't happen we will definitely be back!
