Hawk-Watching Weekend
Posted Oct. 31, 2024 on HomeAwayWe rented the cottage in order to visit the Hawk Tower in the Essex Cty Conservation Area. It was the perfect convenient location and a cozy place to relax after a day spent outdoors. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a special way to enjoy the comforts of home in a beautiful natural setting. It was our third visit and we look forward to coming back again.

New annual tradition for our family

Highly Recommend

There was plenty of room for our family of 4, the amenities were great for our stay, the property had both beach access and access to trails and different places to explore outside. The communication for check in procedures was smooth and we had no issues while on the property. We are looking forward to going back again.

Posted Aug. 31, 2024 on HomeAwayBeautiful place to stay, cottage is beautiful, so quiet, lots to see, bike rides, kids found baby turtle, toads, frog, racoons, coyote tracks, cranes, swans. Lots to do in the area.

Time went by too quickly
Posted Aug. 16, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was our second time at the cottage and we are already planning for next year. We especially love how secluded and private the area is. And every morning being able to have coffee while watching bunnies and squirrels and listening to the host of songbirds is so very peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful stay!

Favourite retreat
Posted Aug. 12, 2024 on HomeAwayThis is a gem - I hesitate to review it because I wish it could remain a hidden gem but it is owned by a conservation authority so they deserve all the rental income they can get. That really says it all - a beautifully outfitted cottage in a conservation area on the beach. I breath better as soon as I arrive...
