Very comfortable, nice location but...

Very friendly and welcoming staff. They were helpful to organize our trip. Our room was very comfortable. The location was perfect. However, we could not sleep well because there were parties on the rooftop restaurant on both nights we were there. When we checked out, they did not want to take our credit card, so we had to pay cash. At first, they overcharged us, so we had to show them the price we booked for on Expedia in order to pay the right amount.

Sehr einfsches Hotel

Hotel war bis auf drei andere Gäste leer , fürs magere Frühstück mussten wir auf die Suche nach Personal gehen. Die Dusche im Zimmer war so stark verkalkt, dass kein Wasser mehr aus der Brause kam.

I thought i had beepaymn charged for this room online and was surprised to be asked for payment when i was getting the taxi for the airport. I paid the for the room believing that i had paid twice. Never was i allowed to checkin to a hotel before resolving payment .

Perfect location, home away from home

Pour : The staff, Omar, Yazeed and our driver Youssef were the best! The friendliest people, always giving you information and making you feel at home.
Emplacement : Close to Mount Nebo, Ma'in Springs, Dead Sea, local churches, just to mention a few.
The helpfulness of Omar and staff out weight any problems Jordon's tourist industry is having. Perfect location. The country is as fascinating as the people.

Outstanding friendly

A very well located and friendly 3 stars hotel and good value for the money. Staff and management are helpful and eager to share practical information. Rooms are not huge but comfortable. Breakfast is simple but fresh. We were allowed to stay in our room until the night at no extra charge and the manager organized a taxi to the airport for a very reasonable price (JD 15, between JD12 and 15 it is what you get bargaining on the street). This hotel lies close to everything important in Madaba and was for us the best option to spend our last night in Jordan without going back to Amman. Recommendable.

Make sure no loud parties

The room was modern, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The blackout curtains were a plus and The staff was very friendly. Now the cons... Our room was next to the smoking balcony so the smoke flowed into our room when the door opened. Also, there was a very, very, very Loud party that took place on the top floor that echoed through the whole neighborhood much less our room. The loud music was more than any guest should have to deal with especially after a long day of touring. Our room was facing the narrow street so the music echoed which made the situation worse. I asked to switch to an an interior room but the hotel was fully booked so we had to just listen and hope to get some rest befor our next day of touring.

Please note that we've stopped all the vociferous parties, except for the New Year of course. Regarding the smoking complain, kindly note that, as you might have seen, it is forbidden to smoke inside Saint John Hotel. This is way we have dedicated a special place for smokers which is a common balcony in each floor away from the guests' rooms. Hotel very handy to Israel border

Pour : It's location suited our purposes even though the surrounding area in Madaba was not kept very clean.
Contre : Passageways could have been cleaner but the rooms were fine.
My wife and I recently had 2 visits to this hotel before and after our trip to Israel. If you want a location out of Amman this hotel in Madaba is a good choice. It is not far from the airport and is also close to the Hussein Bridge for crossing in to Israel. The taxi drivers that the Hotel arranged for us were very good - cheaper going to the airport than using an airport taxi from the airport to the Hotel. This is a relatively small hotel which is family owned. Omar and his staff are all very professional and are available 24 hours.

最近できた新しいホテルです

教会からすこし南に行ったところにあります。 客室は2階3階で、四階で朝食が取れます。 オーナーが恐らくクリスチャンで、部屋も整っていて快適に過ごせました。 ホットシャワー、Wi-Fiも無料で使え、小さいながらもバルコニーもあります。

Madaba trip

It was nice stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food is fine and the restaurant has panoramic view. It is close to down town. It will be good if they can provide invoice in clear format.

St John's is a gem

Great location near all the churches and mosaics. Also great neighborhood for shopping. Fantastic terrace with views of the mosque and the steeple of St.John and a full bar. Room had a small balcony overlooking the street. The bed had a memory foam mattress that was VERY comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
