We were in a great location, the space worked fabulous for us and the service was great. Mario was super friendly. He mapped out some stuff for us to do (he even carried all of our bags up to the top floor for us) and greeted the last girl of our group to arrive since she flew separately. Couldn’t have been a better trip for our first time to Amsterdam. Highly recommend.

Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI am not certain if I fully understoord from listing the amount of stairs; however, Mario was great. They portered luggage, provided ground transportation support, did our laundry (wash only, not dry), and other support. Location was 1-2 mins from Metro.

Publié le 24 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis apartment was awesome. My daughter, sister, and I enjoyed 10 days in Amsterdam. The apartment was perfect for us. We each had a bedroom. The bath/shower was very nice. We had a balcony with beautiful views of the neighborhood rooftops and a nearby old church.
The location was great. It is on a narrow street between the Red Light District and Niewmarkt area. So many great restaurants in the area. It's centrally located and all the main tourist locations are a 20 minute or less walk. We went on a canal ride (Captain Jack - so fun!), Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank house, and the Resistance Museum. The apartment is only a 10 minute walk to Centraal station so catching a train is easy. We spent a day in Utrecht.
Our host, Mario, is the best! He took such good care of us! Very attentive. He had our laundry done one day. He carried all our luggage up the stairs for us. On our last day, he carried them down and ordered a taxi to take us to the airport.
This apartment is on the top level and there are many steep stairs to get to it. However, we took it as a challenge and had fun with it.

Central and quiet

A great spot in center of city. Plenty of room and views from balcony. Mario was an exceptional host and made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again on future trips.

Best penthouse apartment in Amsterdam
Publié le 18 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis modern spacious apartment had everything we needed for a wonderful stay in Amsterdam-Centrum. Even the the ground coffee was exquisite. The management is top-notch and treated us like family. We will make this our home-away-from-home every time we visit Amsterdam. We even plan on using it as our home base to visit other European cities on the high-speed train. Our stay at The Monk Hotel was an integral part of a truly wonderful and memorable vacation. Danke

Exceeded Expectations
Publié le 5 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe have stayed in a lot of rental properties around world and this one was absolutely great. Exactly as advertised - large and bright with lots of extras. Location was very central and Mario the property manager was exceptional.
