Fair Hotel for a fair price
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HotelsYou get what you pay for. It was a decent accommodation for a fair price for Alaska. Anywhere else that room would’ve been $60. But it was reasonable for Alaska. When I got up to Alaska and see that a nice hotel room are $360 up to $600 a night. I changed my flight and came back home.

Thanks for your review, John. You summed up Alaska hotel pricing pretty well during the summer. As I observed the market, the median price hovered 350/night. It was the highest I've seen in 8 years, but we had record or near-record travelers this season, so that drives it up.Anchorage is a funny town when it comes to lodging. It is oversaturated in the winter (Sep - Apr) and not enough in the summer.At least you know what to expect should you come back. We hope we'll see you again.

My stay here was very nice. A small room but comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Always clean bathrooms/shower. Max was especially helpful with local information and suggestions for apps. The northern lights one helped me find a good time to see them, and they were very cool to see!!

Thanks for your review, Linda! Wow, that's super awesome you got to see 'em. They are more rare than Denali, and the mountain only averages a 30% rate of being seen by visitors.This season could very likely be the solar maximum for the current cycle. I expect there will be more awesome nights.

Staff are nice. Even common bathroom is okay. Clean and easy to access.

Arrived @ 1:00AM, with luggage and because there was no elevator we had to drag our luggage up to the third floor. Not easy trying to be quiet and drag up to third floor.

Good rate, decent stay

Hostel is really nice. Room was clean, bathroom was in perfect condition, fast wifi.
