A parking permit is a must!

Responded quickly to needed repairs.
Cons:
Three young, noisy boys in upstairs apartment.
A permit for "District 1" (downtown) parking was promised in the listing. When we arrived, we were told the permit wasn't available, which meant I had to pay for parking, move the car every two hours, or park in a garage half a mile away without in-and-out privileges. I complained for two or three days and then somehow, they were able to get a permit. With a parking permit, I recommend this apartment. Without one, I don't.

Annaplois Gem
Publié le 16 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayOur 2nd stay at this property. Steps away from the Naval Academy and City Dock. You won't find a better location. Property was clean and well maintained. Parking pass is a huge benefit with stay. We had a slight issue with a parking ticket, and the management company handled it immediately. This unit is professionally managed and they are great with communication. Would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a first class stay.

Excellent location and comfortable apartment

Situated right next door to the entrance of the Naval Academy and about a minutes walk to Market House and the start of the restaurants and pubs. The apartment was clean and well stocked with modern appliances etc. Much better than a hotel room with plenty of space and everything you need for a stay away from home. The only negative is the noise from the neighbours. A Lovely family lives upstairs but you can hear the youngsters playing and moving about. They do go to bed early and they’re at school during the day so it’s manageable. Plus there is plenty to do in Annapolis so you’re not always in the apt. I would recommend noise reduction earplugs to use if you need them.
The hosts are very responsive and happy to oblige as much as possible.

A little of this a little of that

The positive aspects of the aparment were its location (close by the city dock, restaurants, Naval Academy), the provision of a resident parking permit that allowed us to street park right in front of the house most of the time, and the access to the apartment was easy and the host was very responsive to questions.
The apartment itself was o.k. The premises were clearn, the show fine. The appliances were very good quality. b The decor was a bit ticky-tacky ("Just Live" signs etc.) for us, the bed was very soft with uncomfortable pillows, if you are used to a harder matress and softer pillows it's problematic. The bedroom offered only one beside lamp that was difficult to read by.
The biggest downside to the property is that it totally lacks sound proofing to the other two apartments in the building. The folks upstairs have two pre-school age children who run back and forth, which was actually not annoying as they went bed early but the neighbor in the ground floor held very loud, angry and sometimes profane phone calls at night and regaled us with music in the evening and in the a.m. I realize these items are somewhat out of the hosts control but a future guest should be aware.

I would agree that your “cons” are unfortunately things that are out of our control, as we go above and beyond to try to make our guest stay pleasurable. Unfortunately, personal preferences like bed and pillow softness/firmness and choice of “decor” are personal preferences that as you can imagine, are hard to satisfy for every guest as everyone has their different preferences. Close to everything

It was bigger than I thought it would be with a nice living room and moderately sized kitchen with a bedroom in the back with a master bath. All well decorated and clean. We did not do any cooking there, but the place had enough cookware to do basic cooking. If I had to find a negative, it would be that the house is historic/old and the walls are very thin. The 2-year-old playing and running back and forth overhead was a distraction. Also, street parking would have been a chore, especially during city events.
