Holiday villa in Antequera – La Higuera, province of Malaga, Andalucia.

This coquettish holiday home lies in the countryside at 2 km from the small village of La Higuera, near Antequera. Its location, in a fenced plot, ensures quietness and a stress-free holiday so that you can enjoy an off-the-beaten-track relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded cities on the Costa del Sol.

Despite its construction being relatively recent, this villa was built following the most authentic “Andalusian home” style, thus fitting perfectly into the surrounding landscape. The entrance door lets you delight yourself with the splendid countryside views for a few moments more, before actually entering the house. This is possible thanks to the glazed veranda, where an outdoor dining area is also located.

Upon entering the house, you are welcomed by an open-space concept featuring a dining and living area. Here, comfortable sofas face a picturesque wall with stone details and a fireplace. A satellite TV and music installation are also provided in the room. Following the same style, there’s the fully equipped open kitchen, featuring all kinds of amenities to ensure the best holiday ever. From the kitchen, it’s also possible to access the backyard.

The left area of the house welcomes the four bedrooms. The two biggest bedrooms both feature one double bed and one en-suite with shower, as well as being decorated with the same taste as the rest of the house (rustic features and comforts). A third bedroom is also provided with one double bed, whereas the fourth and last bedroom relies on a single bed. Therefore, up to 7 people can sleep at the villa. There is one more bathroom, this time with a bathtub, which is shared among the guests of the house. Last but not least, warm/cool air-con is provided throughout the villa, in the living area and the four bedrooms.

The gravelled backyard is a dream come true, where you and your family will enjoy your holidays under the shadow of centenary trees and the parasols provided. First, you will find a covered BBQ area, and then, a lovely spot for “al fresco” dining, where all the family can sit and share their meals in complete quietness. However, the cherry on the pie is the fabulous fenced private pool, surrounded by seven sun loungers and a few nice parasols. An excellently maintained grassed area is the perfect complement to the outdoor area and, to top it all, the breathtaking hill views and the Torcal de Antequera on the horizon. Its dazzling beauty is exactly what you’ll need to acknowledge the quality of this accommodation.

The access is possible via a 70 mt-long unpaved lane.

Great location for visiting the Moorish attractions of Spain
We drove to Malaga, Ronda, Cordoba, and Granada, reserving a day for each city. And the fifth was spent exploring Antequera. When we got back from our day-trips every evening, the house felt like a home. It was specious, quiet, had a lovely yard, and was well supplied with amenities for a long stay. What will stay in our minds, however, are not the Moorish attractions, but the spectacular view of Mount Torcal, and the sound of cowbells--actually goat-bells-- as the animals were herded to the pasture every morning. Cristobal, the owner, proved to be a gracious host, despite our language difficulty. Highly recommended for serious sightseeing or just a restful getaway.

Simply Wonderful!
My daughter and I spent a week at Tere Antequera and we enjoyed the country location very much. Our host, Cristobal, was very accommodating. We did have a little language barrier, I do not speak Spanish and he does not speak English, but with the help of Google Translate and a little animation, we were able to understand each other. He was a very gracious host. The villa was simply perfect. It was very well-equipped, clean, and very comfortable. We both loved being in the countryside with the marvelous views and peaceful setting. We highly recommend this villa. Thank you Cristobal!

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus in den Bergen von Málaga. Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses waren super. Die Einrichtung passt gut in die ländliche Gegend. Der Garten und der Pool lädt zum verweilen ein. Das einzige Manko ist die 50 minütige Entfernung von Málaga, aber ansonsten können wir die u Unterkunft empfehlen.

Great home with a great view
This house is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The owner is very friendly and they have thought of everything. The house is on a very big and spacious property with a beautiful view. If you want to visit Sevilla or other cities you have to drive a bit but it is definitely worth it.

Una casa para volver
La estancia en la casa de Teresa y Cristóbal ha sido maravillosa gracias a que cuidan todos los detalles para que la estancia sea tranquila y agradable. Destaca la limpieza de la casa, muy cuidada en todos los detalles (ventanas, etc), y el equipamiento: hay de todo. Desde menaje a un completo botiquín por si surge alguna incidencia. La zona de piscina es muy agradable, amplia y tiene valla perimetral (muy importante si viajas con niños pequeños). Y la zona de la barbacoa tiene todo lo necesario. Hemos quedado muy satisfechos y con ganas de repetir.
