Posted Jul. 17, 2023 on HomeAwayHome wad built in 1947 and is dated, original kitchen and and home had a musty smell. No throw pillows or blankets for sofas, no wine or beer glasses, no coffee table erc. Electrial not up to date, had to turn everything of when not home because it was considered a fire hazard. For the price expected more from VRVO.

This is what happens when a guest does not get a full refund when trying to cancel their booking inside the required time frame. The home is as listed ,and the photos show this. Where can you get a three bedroom home,in the country, close to three beaches, for 170.00 a night for four guests. There is no coffee table, there is a full dining room with a pull out table the seats eight .There are wine glass,s in top shelf.Extra pillows and blankets in every bedroom,The Electrical is up to date, but after having guests leave the house empty for days at a time with ac,s and fans and tvs on,I leave a note to turn everything of when leaving, and lower windows, because this is my family home, and it is just common sense to not take the chance .Thank you Joan ,one other thing, could you not have called me,or emailed me,as I ask every guest to do if they require any thing.Sence i live 70 yards away from house. You never mentioned any of this when we spoke when you were leaving.Good day.

Homey location
Posted Jul. 14, 2022 on HomeAwayA good fit for our family needs. A fairly short and beautiful commute to the town of Antigonish. A lovely old house that reminded us of years gone by. Thanks, Doug.

House was clean and even had coffee and bread already there

As Mr. Ctookes mentioned, we are in a great location, two hours to Halifax, or Sydney, less than an hour to the P.E.I ferry, and only 45 mins to Historic Sherbrooke Village. With many great day drives, such as Canso, Guysborough, Port Hawkesbury, Port Hood, and Fortress Louisbourg, or locally and only 15 mins away, the Ballantyne's Cove Tuna Interpretive Centre, and Cribbons Point Tuna Charters, there is plenty to see here and enjoy. Thank you John and family for the visit to Hawes Home B&B and Antigonish County, and of course Beautiful Nova Scotia. Hope to see you again.
