Lots of issues
After a challenging 18 months in Melbourne we were really looking forward to a week away. On picking up the keys, we were advised the garage door remote was not functioning. It was unable to be fixed during our stay, and we relied on our tall 16 year-old to hold open the garage door.
We had a range of further issues with this property:
The TV reception was very poor due to a loose aerial cord at the socket, and not fixed during our stay.
The hot tub didn’t work (a major attraction for us). It was fixed half way through. It requires a quick, hard press of the button to function.
The exhaust fan in the first floor bathroom is very weak / ineffective.
The labels on the cooktop are almost worn away, and two of the plates appear only to function on highest heat.
There are nails protruding from the balcony.
There’s no WIFI.
Unfortunately these range of issues detracted from what could have been a great holiday rental. There’s a beautiful view from the north facing main living room. The beds are comfortable, with linen provided. It’s in a very good location, just a quick walk to the beach and shops – although as another reviewer has mentioned, in the master bedroom you get woken up very early most mornings by delivery trucks to the supermarket.
A few things that could improve this place even further:
an extra lounge chair in the main living space
more than one tea towel, dishwasher tablet, garbage bin bag
some decent kitchen knives
a hair dryer and toastie maker.
WIFI.
All in all, because of the issues it was not worth the price.
