A great budget option with (almost!) ski in/out

We had a very good stay at the Front de Niege in January 2018. The apartments are well equipped and the beds comfortable. They had recently refurbished the bathroom on ours and it was excellent, with a very powerful shower. The location is great for skiing. You can ski directly onto the slopes through the trees, and it's a 100 meter walk back at the end of the day. It is a 20 minute walk to/from the village, with the return being up-hill. There is a free bus, although this doesn't run past 18:30. There is a boot room with lockable racks for your skis. Jack, at Zig Zag, was amazing with the equipment he provided us, and shared lots of local knowledge that helped us get the most out of our stay. The only complaint I have is with the communication between myself and the hotel. I sent multiple emails to confirm check-in times, as we were arriving late, and heard nothing back. This caused us stress through not knowing if we'd even be able to get access to the apartments on arrival. As it worked out, they have a key safe for late arrivals, but it would have been nice to have been told that in advance. For the money we paid, this apartment was fantastic and I'd certainly go back

Out of Town but close to the piste.

The self catering apartments are OK. Not enough heaters though and trouble parking when busy. Unless you pay even more for underground parking.
