This 1936 Craftsmen inspired, vintage bungalow has been completely restored by an artist so that you can unwind in style. It has just the right combination of color and comfort. The exterior has been painted a warm, sunny yellow creating a very warm welcome. The splash of red in the kitchen adds to its rustic charm. Guests will enjoy how cozy this home feels. Less than 1000 square feet of creatively utilized space offering everything you need for a fabulous getaway. The family/dining room is open to the kitchen with breakfast bar. Enjoy hanging out watching a movie on the flat-screen T.V. Play a game or dine at the cafe- style table. Three well-appointed bedrooms offer sleeping for up to 6 guests with a King, Queen and 2 twin beds. The tile work in the bathroom and one-of-a-kind light fixtures are small works of art. The bathroom has a stall shower.

Take a 12 minute stroll or use the bikes and visit the Plaza in downtown Arcata or enjoy our famous Farmer's Market for fresh, local organic offerings, food and music. This home is a five minute drive from Cal Poly Humboldt! Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen or stop and eat at any of the great restaurants on The Plaza. Sit outside on the front porch and enjoy cocktails or start your day there with some locally roasted coffee. The Greenview Market located across the adjacent pasture is super convenient for last minute items. Indoor laundry makes your stay even easier. Will welcome 1 dog to stay too!

The property was well maintained and clean. I would recommend putting black out curtains on the side of the house that faces the grocery store, Wi-Fi/TV did not work well and there was no complimentary wine as described. Despite these things we enjoyed our stay and would recommend them. Plenty of linens and comfortable beds. Very cute bungalow.

Clean house, pictures match the size and style of the home. We had issues with wifi and the kitchen is poorly stocked for cooking at home. Mattresses could be upgraded, especially the 2 twin beds.

Enjoyed our stay in Arcata!
The property was clean and comfortable for our group (3 couples - family - attending wedding) although the third bedroom, with twin beds, is best suited for kids. The property met all of our needs for the long weekend. The location was very convenient although the empty lot next door detracted from the otherwise neighborhood feel of the area. (The lot is depicted in the pictures so we knew it when renting.) Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house to others staying in Arcata.

Potter’s bungalow needs a bit of TLC! One burner on stove not working, drippy kitchen faucet, deadbolt on door to carport impossible to open from outside, chipped formica bathroom vanity, shower curtain track in direpair. Nip these things in the bud and it will be charming again!

Great location, super clean and welcoming. Neighborhood was nice we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. They let us check in a little early after asking which was huge since we came from a 7 hour drive. Only thing I would suggest is cloth or black out curtains in the bedrooms. The light from the next door market was so bright it woke me up at night multiple times. Overall a fantastic stay locking forward to coming back. You can also rent from them directly to save on some fees.

Perfect for my 2 adult sons and me
Loved visiting with family in a home setting. Cooking, eating, and movies. Too bad the plants were all dead and the windows were really dirty with spider webs. Weird small shower too. We used the BBQ one night for steaks which was awesome. The generous driveway allowed my son's to do some work that was necessary. And their is a little grocery store next door.

Charming and CLEAN
We had a wonderful stay, and we’re very impressed with the cleanliness and the attention to detail and every last little thing we might need for our short stay. My husband is generally not a fan of staying in a rental such as this, and he generally ops for a hotel room, but he said that this stay here has changed his mind. That is really saying a lot and we can’t think our hosts enough for making it the most comfortable stay in a Vrbo that we have ever had! We will be back.

House was great for short stay. Kitchen had everything we needed and overall the house was comfortable. Neighborhood does not have a lot of street lights which makes walking the dog in the evening a bit difficult. WiFi was not reliable if more than one person trying to access email - created buffering with internet TV.

A nice little house near downtown Arcata. If you like to walk it's close enough to the Plaza, but very bikeable or a short drive. The house itself was really pleasant, but I really enjoyed eating dinner in the backyard.
