Nice quiet location in a small village outside of Polis , not too touristy good balance

A very peaceful location and a really nice villa and private pool. There is really nothing to complain about this property. The pool is a great size and the villa is nice enough to use.

Stayed here for a week at the end of April 2023 in Villa 'Theo' - just as the weather was warming up. Entry was simple and the comms from the owners were good. Villa is in fair condition but money needs spending to bring it up to scratch. Rained a couple of days so there was no hot water which was a gripe. Quiet location except for the odd barking dog. Walking distance to the Irish bar and a couple of restaurants. Takes about an hour from Paphos airport to reach by car - needed Google maps to find the villas themselves as there is no obvious signage. Main gripes apart from some quite shabby decor was there was no maid visit for the week. Toilet paper bins were not emptied during this time which was unpleasant. The downstairs 'cave' toilet had an unpleasant smell of drains which I would imagine would be amplified by the summer season heat. Beds were like concrete snooker tables and the cisterns in the toilet dribble insecently so the door to the en suite had to be closed. You could not turn the key in the lock in the front door to lock it at night and some of the patio doors require the strength of Hercules to prize open. We paid off peak rates and where therefore just about OK with what we paid for the quality of the accomodation, given the fact it was a detached private villa with a pool - wouldn't have been impressed with paying full whack in the summer, given the issues outlined above. Argaka is lovely and with proximity to Polis then it is well worth considering.

We thoroughly enjoyed the area of Polis and Argaka but the villa didn't really match our expectations. It was poorly equipped and maintained and was a place to stay rather than a place to enjoy. * The socket near the patio doors in the sitting room isn’t working * Rainwater coming out of light switch on top landing * Rainwater coming through living room ceiling * Rainwater coming under the front door * Rainwater coming in the back door * Loose steps from upper to lower patio * Seat on one of the dining room chairs is broken * Metal step from swimming pool is broken * Clothes airer in garden is broken * A few leaks in felt roofs over patio * Hole in Mosquito net on kitchen window * Mosquito net missing from master bedroom window * Only one saucepan was provided * Kitchen wasn’t that well equipped * Some outside lights are not working * Front doorbell not working * Swimming pool pump wasn’t very efficient and pool and water started to go green

We had no difficulties booking this villa and the communication was excellent. It was just my husband and I renting and we were looking for for a peaceful and relaxing stay in lovely surroundings and the villa certainly delivered. The pool is lovely and was cleaned every day which we have never had before or had a cleaner come in mid stay and change bedding which was a real bonus. We had a slight issue when we first arrived as there was no bbq but it just took a phone call in the morning and one was delivered promptly. We would have found it useful to have had a guest book with suggestions of where to visit, eat etc but Google helped and there is good internet connection. The pictures of the villa listed were taken a while ago as the lime tree is now huge (perfect for a G&T!) so when we first arrived, it didn't feel as 'sparkly 'as we were expecting and the outside area looked a little tired. However, the cleanliness of the villa and superb pool maintenance was excellent. Location wise, we had lovely views from our balcony and were able to walk to the few bars and restaurants along the front ( take a torch if going in the evening) and supermarket and bakery. The beach isn't great but we discovered Latsi which is about a 15 minute drive and has a great beach, beach bars, tavernas etc. Once we had a BBQ though, the weather was so lovely, we were happy to stay put! We had a really great stay and would highly recommend.

Lovely and peaceful location, the pool was exellent and still warm at night. Will definitely be back again absolutely lovely.
