Beautiful home provides all amenities
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home was perfect for our Labor Day weekend reunion, with everything we would need, easy use of fire pit, grill, deck and kitchen (but there is no dishwasher). Gisele was great to communicate with.
Would definitely go again!

I went through two dishwashers and finally gave up on purchasing a third one. I understand the convenience of having one but the carelessness of some guests got the better of me!

Lovely, Magical Stay
Publié le 25 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved the cabin and the beautiful nature around it! It's tucked away and private but still accessible. The cabin itself is wonderfully furnished with a great kitchen and outside grill. Gisele is a responsive and lovely host!

Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay, even on a rainy weekend! Grandparents, us and the kids enjoyed the house, kayaking and chasing after frogs; our pups loved the lake and running around! Fully recommended!

Wonderful get away

My group of 6 adults enjoyed our time at this spacious, airy home. Everywhere you looked there was something fun to find in the eclectic decor. The kitchen was well supplied. The dining table was a great place to gather together, while the living room area, game table and deck provided spaces to get away for smaller gatherings. The two and a half baths were great. Our only disappointment was that the pond was green. We weren’t comfortable going in when couldn’t see our feet in the water.
The owner was very quick with all communications

4th of July
Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed as a family for 4th of July weekend. The location was great, very close to Belleayre and Margaretville for the carnival and fireworks. The kids loved the pond and there was a nice amount of outdoor space in the back. The kitchen sink was clogged throughout our stay which was tough do deal with because doing dishes was a challenge and the smell of the water wasn’t great as we waited for it to drain. If it happens again I would recommend trying to get a plumber in asap and not just dealing with the clog. I didn’t realize that there was no AC (completely my fault I should have paid closer attention to the listing) and it was an extremely hot weekend so that was tough in the upstairs bedrooms. I would recommend bringing a bigger fan to help with circulation upstairs and hopefully that would help, the fans downstairs worked well and kept it much cooler down there. The open floor plan downstairs was nice and there was enough room to comfortably fit two families. Overall we had a good weekend and the kids had a great time.

Thank you for reviewing your stay. I quickly apologized when you called me about the clogged sink and your understanding was appreciated. I take my guests’ comfort at heart. As I had then mentioned to you the plumber had come the previous week and, as he left, everything seemed to be in order. Unfortunately he was on vacations that particular holiday weekend. I understand your three stars review, down from my consistent four and five stars for the last ten years. It was unusually hot, summer nights are cool in the Catskills. I am glad that you and your family enjoyed yourselves! As a reminder (though I chose to not affect your score), read your host’s House Rules; you are in someone’s home after all and with one’s security in mind (along with basic courtesy), no extra guests were allowed unless discussed beforehand; wouldn’t appreciate if uninvited people came to your home.

Birthday Weekend
Publié le 30 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThis cabin in the woods was a great place to stay! We brought my mom and her friend here for a weekend to celebrate their 60th birthdays. There were separate bedrooms for everyone in our group, the cabin is beautiful and rustic and the owner was very helpful for questions and instructions. Great stay!

Amazing getaway
Publié le 23 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property is remote, private, gorgeous and immaculately maintained. Far enough to be a getaway but close enough to use as a base for whatever plans you may have; golf, hiking, sightseeing, or just staying in and shutting off.
