Publié le 13 sept. 2018 sur HotelsNe pas réserver une chambre sur la rue qui est très bruyante (fenêtres pas isolées). Nous avons demandé le changement car nous étions là pour 5 nuits. Bonne literie.
Petit déjeuner industriel : pain de mie - confiture etc...
Pas de fromage, pas de fruits frais ou très rarement. Nous étions un groupe de français, ils auraient dû valoriser les produits du terroir
Les repas du soir sont corrects. Le personnel à votre écoute.

We had a brilliant weekend and we were looked after very well by all the staff we will definitely be returning and highly recommend the hotel for great stay..

The hotel was well located in the centre of Armagh. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was free secure parking on site. The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable.
Dislikes.
The hotel was very rundown and it needs a lot of money spent on it. It was advertised as having a lift but it was out of order which was a pain as we were on the 2nd floor. The towels supplied in the ensuite were on the small side and there were a number of cracked tiles.

Thank you for the complement regarding our staff and that you had a comfortable nights sleep.We are sorry that you find our hotel run down, we do not advertise ourselves as a modern hotel, we fashion ourselves on the age of the building, thus a traditional style, we are continually working on our bedrooms, all have been recently repainted and new accessories added, we are also currently updating bathrooms, it is a continuous job as I'm sure you can imagine, unfortunately not during our busy summer season. We provide hand and bath towels as do most other establishments.I have also rectified the lift issue, and this is no longer advertised, apologies for this mis-advertisement.Hopefully you will support our family run hotel again in the future.

Friendly but overwhelmed

We were told there would be a delay of half an hour but it was an hour before we got our meal. We are sure service would be better when quiet but surely they could have prepared a couple of meals and slowed down the service to the bus party

Parking available in the back. No (working) lift and lots of stairs. The restaurant was full during mealtimes, which appeared to be mostly locals. The food was filling and the waitstaff were friendly. I did get questioned more than once by staff (same woman both times) as to what my business was on their property. On the one hand it was good they were making sure people belonged there but on the otherhand it was off-putting as I was treated like I was trespassing.

So pleased that you enjoyed our home cooking during your stay, a restaurant full of locals whilst on holiday is always a good sign they always know where the food is good!!We are sorry you felt like you were "trespassing", in a small family hotel like ours we are always trying to make our sure that are guests are being looked after or helping them if they look like they are needing assistance - you will find in Ireland, people are always trying to take care of you.
