Great location and host

We had an issue initially with the internet, but she was quick to respond with where the router was and we got it rebooted. The building was under construction, which we didn't know about before arrival. Construction workers were banging around at 7 a.m., which wasn't great but not in the owner's control. Overall, great stay.

Boji Weekend

Balcony full of spider webs & after reading info from owner on balcony being unsafe, we didn’t spend much time on it. Bedroom pillows were all flat. Bedrooms need nightstands on each side, instead of just one. Bedrooms are quiet & you don’t hear outside noises.

Hi Kim. Sorry that you didn't fully appreciate our condo. Although my cleaners usually take a broom to the deck, they could have easily forgot or missed that on the cleaning before you. That with a combination that spiders webs are hard to control at the lake (for some reason). They for some reason can pop overnight. I can take a broom to the deck and the next day they are back. You might not be familiar with that on lake properties.
But the decks are not "unsafe". A notice was sent stating that the decks seem to be sloping and also in that notice it as said the decks would pose NO HARM unless someone is shoved/pushed into the railings at full speed, if you leaned with all your weight (over 250 lbs) over the railings and if A LOT of people were on the deck at one time. These are all items that should be avoided anyway, but our condo association wanted a notice to be sent if we had renters just to be proactive. The decks are scheduled to get redone (for the slope) starting the day after Labor Day, so this will no longer be an issue. Again, this was stated in the notice that was sent.
And sorry on the pillows. We definitely cannot please everyone. The next renter could say they are too fluffy. I might suggest you bring your own in your next stay somewhere.

Great condo
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayIt had been years since we stayed at Okoboji. We really enjoyed the condo with beautiful views of the lake. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable and the owners were easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!
