Had a week's stay here mid-Sep, lovely little hotel. It's out of the town so you'll have to drive anywhere for food (hotel does minimum lunch snacks and no dinner). 15 minute walks to various gorgeous beaches. Gym is great (with a squat rack!). Pool is nice to sit around but the water is freeeeezing!
We have just returned from the most amazing stay at Hotel Nibaru. Richardo and his team were just fabulous - friendly and helpful, booking boat hire, restaurants and recommending the best beaches and lovely rustic towns for sightseeing.
The cleanliness of the hotel was 5🌟, lovely pool, amazing breakfast, lunch and snack options, cocktails, a well equipped gym too.
The location is perfect - close enough to walk to a few stunning beaches and a shirt 15min drive to Porto Cervo, Baja Sardinia, San Panteleo in all directions.
We will 100% be back and looking forward to it already.
Thank you so much, Jessica, Justin, Raya & Ruby x
This hotel was the perfect base for a couple exploring the Costa Smeralda. It's a very quiet and extremely clean hotel. I'd recommend a hire car or scooter as restaurants, the nearest supermarket and beaches are all 5-10 mins away. However, if you just want to relax by the pool or a very small local beach you would be fine without transportation. Reception staff recommended and booked all the local restaurants and they were all lovely. Drinks by the pool were great. The photos don't do the hotel justice. It's much nicer and the views are lovely.
We stayed at Nibaru for 7 nights, and we are happy with this hotel. It was quiet and secluded. The service was also very good. We complained about lack of blackout in our room at night, when the temporary measure didn’t work out, they offered us another room, but as we decided to stay in our room, they resolved it temporarily. Good restaurants are a bit far, but the hotel snack bar is good enough and they are cheaper than any other restaurants we have been to. The only complaint I have is that everything is disposable, e.g shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, olive oil, vinegar etc. But I am not sure whether it is general in Italy. We hope to see more environmental friendly measures in place when we visit next time.
We really liked this hotel and the location. It’s a 30 minute drive from Olbia airport which was quite straight forward. The hotel is quiet, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are modern - the pool is nicely laid out with comfortable sun beds ….and all is well maintained. Breakfast has a bit of everything and overall I’d recommend this place without hesitation. You will need a car - but that’s a must if you want to see all the beaches and visit all the restaurants. There are 5 or 6 beaches within a quick drive from the hotel, parking rates vary, be prepared to pay up €18 for a full day at some. Ask the reception for recommendations for places to eat, the restaurant next door is a good starting point but there are plenty to choose from not too far away.
From the minute we got there to the minute we left the staff was courteous hotel was constantly cleaned the rooms are always in proper shape all the people saying they were very kind and thoughtful the breakfast is were plentiful and always enjoyable .The staff helped us with our tickets for returning and contacting the airlines for getting our proper seats and they were very good at directions and giving us restaurants to go to or not I would highly recommend this place to anyone
Lovely hotel with rooms spread out in different areas. Stayed in a Superior Room with a terrace, which was newly refurbished and clean with a great bathroom (shower only but a lovely shower). Breakfast was nice and the pool and pool area were great. Front desk staff were a little hit and miss but the daughter of the family who own it was very nice and helpful and even gave us a lift to dinner one night with her friend!
The location is well positioned with several beaches within 20 mins walk (we didn't have a car) and several more if you were willing to walk a bit further. Several good restaurants within 5/10 mins drive but taxis are expensive. Most people say you need a car but we managed without, as long as you don't mind walking a bit. Walking to restaurants at night can be tricky as the roads don't all have pathways and are dark but there is also a good pizzeria right next door (Baretto) which is open until midnight and still serves pizzas up until then.
So overall a great hotel choice given the price and location.
Excellent hotel, everything looks and feels new. Reception staff very knowledgable and helpful with recommendations locally. Would happily stay there again. Good base for touring round a beautiful area
We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Nibaru.
Our room was very nice and housekeeping was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. The pool area was excellent with sun in all areas for he whole day. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, including a small hot selection. Delicious freshly baked cakes every morning.
Staff were all charming and eager to please.
We had a very nice holiday staying at the family run Hotel Nibaru.
Thank you.
We stayed for 2 nights-there are beaches within walking distance, 5 min, driving distance of 5 mins, and Porto Curvo is only a 15 min drive, and is a "must" to visit - the room and bathrooom were very clean, with adequate space. Considering we were on the Costa Smeralda, the rates were excellent and the staff could not do enough for us - they were helpful & informative and made the stay an absolute pleasure. They recommended a fabulous fish restaurant - 5 mins in a taxi (20 Euro's) The Belvedere - which wasn't cheap - but the food and service there was wonderful, worth every penny and used by locals. The restaurant next door to the hotel, was also very acceptable and a much cheaper option if you are on a budget. The breakfast at the hotel was great, the pool and surrounding area was lovely, and we throroughly enjoyed our stay - If we come back to the Costa Smeralda, we will stay here.
If you are looking for a clean hotel with very basic amenities and basic rooms close to the marvelous beaches of Costa Smeralda, this is a good and economical choice. Grounds are sPotless, the Pool area is nice, and you are within a few miles of the great beaches and Porto Cervo. Several of the staff members were very helpful and friendly. The manager was very stodgy and standoffish. They'd do better with customers keeping him in the backoffice.
Although no restaurant on site, there is a decent pizzeria a few steps away. Breakfast is quite basic.
This hotel doesn't quite feel like a 4 star, but I guess they check the boxes to get the rating.
This hotel is fully deserving of its 4 star rating. it was always clean, from our room to the pool. Its a very cute and cozy hotel with brand new rooms and clean bathrooms. The staff were polite and carried our luggage to our room--surprisingly, a lot of hotels did not offer this. As for the location, it was far from porto cervo (lots of restaurants and expensive stores), but the hotel is in cala di volpe which is a 15 minute walk to the beach which absolutely breath-taking...stay away from the beds at the beach which are 15 euros. There are two restaurants by this hotel and they aren't very good.
Nice place, room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was a typical continental one you get in Italy. Pool was little too cold for us. Gym was very well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. However walls of the rooms are very thin, you hear anything your neighbors are doing. No shops/restaurants around
