High on the Mountain
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayCommunication was great. Instructions for check in/check out were very clear and easy. Entry code was easy. Welcome basket was nice. Great water pressure in shower. Close to the Biltmore and to grocery store. The only thing I would change is the ability to crank the thermostat down to 65. I stay hot all the time.

Don’t stay.
Publié le 19 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayVery poor management. Rules say no noise after 10 PM and a large party occupied 5 units next to us that partied starting after 10 and late into the night. We called and complained to someone who seemed indifferent and later received an email message that we should have called the cops. Based on the rules that should be the property’s responsibility. There was a strong febreeze smell that overpowered the unit. Bugs crawling all around. Big exposed gaping hole in the washroom wall where plumbing was located. WiFi didn’t work a lot of the time and tv would black out for no reason. Recommend don’t stay here!!

Estella, we are so sorry to hear that your stay at High on the Mountain was not as peaceful as you had hoped. Our property care specialist checked on the home after your stay to check on the issues you mentioned and found all the TV’s in working order, and confirmed that the hole in the laundry room is a drain. An unfortunate reality of mountain living is often less than stellar cell and/or WiFi services — we are always looking for improvements in this area, though nothing is guaranteed. As mentioned in our rental agreement, the cleaning crews do their best to eliminate any bugs during their cleaning (as well as regular pest control), but like any home bugs will still find their way inside and this kind of thing does not warrant a refund. Quiet hours are another difficult thing to manage; our team will do our due diligence in attempting to contact guests that are causing a disturbance, but when these calls don’t go through or they go unanswered, then contacting the authorities is an appropriate response. Again, we sincerely apologize that your stay was soured by these experiences. We wish you the best in your future travels!

Asheville visit

Great weekend

Love the community and having the Village Point Sports Bar within walking distance was great for lunch. Easy drive to downtown. We would definitely recommend this property.
