Excellent location for the Mt. Rainier Paradise entrance. The staff at Alexander's was considerate, offering a breakfast basket for our off-season travel and limited dining nearby.

Would stay again
Posted Aug. 16, 2024 on HotelsGreat quaint little lodge, close to nature/woods, comfortable bed, clean, packaged breakfast was provided, wifi, tv with some dvds, was easy to pick up keys and self check in. Would have liked an extra blanket, some storage (the closet was locked) and the rooms were really tiny but overall a positive experience.

Close to Mt Rainer.
Posted Aug. 13, 2024 on HotelsIt was a beautiful setting. A studio apartment, which we expected. The copper creek inn restaurant is 6 minutes away and opens at 0800, so having no kitchen wasn’t a problem. The only problem was, to contact the on-site manager, we had to call them on the phone but there was no landline in the room and our cell phones didn’t get reception there.

Thank you Donna. There is a landline in the parlor and also one outside near the key drop box. Just keep that in mind when you visit us again!

We work hard to keep the place clean and looking good. Built in 1912, this building provides us with many challenges. But I can assure you that the care it receives on a daily basis is both tender and loving

No choices near Mt. Rainier
Posted Jul. 28, 2024 on HotelsThere really aren't very many choices for accommodations near Mt. Rainier. But this looked good online. It looked abandoned. Grass and weeds high.
Normally we find inns and B&Bs to be welcoming. No one was there to welcome us and our keys were taped to an inside door. Due to some situation, they don't serve breakfast. They just leave you a basket of packaged snacks.
We left before it was delivered to go on to our next stop on our drive down the West Coast and to find some breakfast.
Kind of my fault that I didn't check if rooms were handicapped accessible. I didn't need it when I booked the room. 20 steep steps to get up to our floor.

To say that we look "abandoned" is just wrong. The situation, that you refer to, is that we don't have a restaurant to cook breakfast. We are the ONLY accommodation on this side of the mountain who offers a COMPLIMENTARY breakfast and yes, it is pre-packaged (please refer to the remark about not having a restaurant).

It was a low service property. There is only a part time person who is available on phone. If it was a motel it would be a 2 star motel. But it is a very clean motel. The bed sheets were old and cheap but clean. We enjoyed our stay as we checked in at 10 pm and left at 6 am. The groundskeeper was very helpful and gave us hit water for tea.

There is an on-call manager 24/7. Not a "part-time person". Thank you for sharing your thoughts

It was nice and quiet and well maintained. The AC is very old system and found it hard operating it until late night. It was going off regularly and getting cooling.
