This was a very unique place to stay. I didn’t realize it was contactless and everything for information was sent to me. I contacted the number if any issues not knowing what to do and they called me within 10min. I know I might be old fashion and prefer a check in person but I managed. It was actually a lil creepy at first because the store and lil coffee shop wasn’t open yet you could go in building and there wasn’t a car at place at all. The elevators are very slow but they did work. It’s actually at a nice convenient spot to stay. We didn’t use the chairs outside with fire pit because we were clueless since no one there on what we could’ve done. The room was fixed up nice and bed was comfy. I was bummed ice machine didn’t work and I didn’t want to go to town for ice.

Our room was perfect & the bathroom was so beautiful. However, the traffic noise was very loud. The windows did not offer much of an opportunity to view anything. Otherwise it was great. I tried to find out about the history of the building but nothing.

Thanks for staying with us. Our smallest room, The Captain's Quarters is on the end of the building and can have some road noise. It is also our most economical room so pro-tip if you stay again we would recommend one of the other four rooms that has a full lake balcony to take advantage of the Lake Superior views. The other four rooms are also on the inside of the building and can we much more tranquil. The building was built to resemble a ship. We appreciate the feedback and for your business.

Get there before they close
Publié le 27 août 2024 sur HotelsGot there at 5pm on a Sunday, place was closed, lady never answered or returned our call for how to access our room, I didn't have access to the email they sent it to apparently, luckily coffee gal gave us code for elevator, goof thing we looked trustworthy I guess. Loud too, right by highway

We apologize that your check-in wasn't smooth and easy. We typically text you instructions as well as email for after hours check-in instructions. We apologize that you may not have gotten those. Pro tip the Captain's Quarters is our smallest room on the end of the building so there can be some road noise. It's also our most economical room. The other large suites are quiet and have a full lake balcony for a superior experience on the water without any noise from the road.

Very nice room, comfortable bed.
Did not care for the slow elevator which you had to take to the 3rd floor where all the rooms were located.
Nice chairs outside where you could sit and view the beautiful bay. Great walk in shower with your choice of two different shower heads.

A nice change from chain motels. Our room (#5) was quite large with a very tall ceiling. The large shower had a great double showerhead for a blissful experience. The building is located right next to Lake Superior and a lakeside trail. The first floor has a sporting goods store and restaurant.

The Inn is right on the water, and we had a very spacious and charming room! There’s a nice coffee shop and great little boutique there. We look forward to returning some day!
