Great Stay
Publié le 26 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the perfect spot for a Bachelor Party gathering. We had a great time all weekend. The house had plenty of space to accommodate all that attended. It was fully loaded with amenities. We also used the back barn, which gave us a great spot to be outside, play yard games and enjoy each others company! The location of this place was great very close to where ever you needed to go in local area and perfect view of the Lake! The host was readily available and easy to communicate with. The check in and check out process was smooth.

Publié le 9 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayTotal Eclipse ruined. Didn't stay. Place was uninhabitable. Owner was staying in house. It was smokey, filled with garbage, dog feces and urine. VRBO did not help us find another property even though we shared pictures and had contact with them and they talked to the host. Host agreed to cancel so we could get a refund and never did. Still trying to work with VRBO to get money back for a vacation that never happened.

Unfortunately, the property was not ready for these customers that showed up for the eclipse.. I have been in and out of the hospital for the last three months and when I returned back to the property in question, I was not able to put the property in rent ready condition. I have severe spinal stenosis, which kept me from any stand strenuous work and I felt bad that they chose to leave. Their funds have been refunded and as of now the house is rent ready for Sommer customers. Newphs Landing is a great spot that serves both Geneva on the lake strip and Ashtabula harbor by the river. If you have any questions, feel free to email me on this app and I’ll be happy to help you. If you look at other reviews, you will see we have plenty of five and four reviews , this is our 18th season serving the area and many customers. Hope to hear from you,

Perfect Location
Publié le 23 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe location was great as it was very close to the Marina and good restaurants reasonable distance. Cameron was a great host. He checked with us several time to make sure everything was ok. Ready to reserve for next year.

It’s okay

Once we started exploring, we noticed quite a lack of cleanliness, general housekeeping and the worst part was a big patch of mold in the main hallway. Cameron is a nice guy, but this property needs serious attention. Weeds growing up through the deck with the lake view, very dirty outdoor furniture with sounder webs growing off of them. The grass was recently mowed and mulched, leaving tons of clippings all over. Screens are all broken so you can’t even open windows for fresh air without letting bugs in. An old garbage can full of very old garbage sits on the east side of the home instead of being removed. Some TLC and this could be a solid property. 8 guys on a golf getaway weekend can deal with it, but my family would have not accepted the conditions.

VRBO pictures a little deceiving
Publié le 17 août 2022 sur HomeAwayProperty manager was mowing the lawn and left clippings. Hard not to track grass everywhere including into the house. The party barn was littered with owner’s personal belongings and not cleaned. It was also further from the house than anticipated. However the owner was on site quite a bit to check in on our group to ask if we needed or wanted anything.

The review of our property doesn't make sense. I mowed the lawn several days before our guests arrived, but had more lawn clippings than usual and with that you would think our guests would remove their shoes before entering the house.
On another note, the guest who signed our rental agreement thought the Back Barn was included with our rental price. As outlined in our VRBO property description and verbal communication, the Back Barn is available to our guests of the front house for a additional charge. Guest did not rent the Back Barn and it was not available upon their arrival, hence I had property supplies and maintenance equipment in the Back Barn which normally would be stored and put away if guest rented the Back Barn. I don't understand why guest said the Back Barn was dirty and I had personal items strewn throughout. Guest was never in the Back Barn.
Guests did a reasonable job cleaning up after themselves. I initially gave guests 5 Stars, but after their review, maybe they should go elsewhere.
