Publié le 11 janv. 2014 sur HotelsUpon arrival our book was apparently not reserved, though we had a confirmation by Hotels.com; this was however no issue since the hotel was empty for 80% or more. Our first night was a disappointment because of the mattrass which was very hard (you could hardly push your finger in it for half an inch). After complaining they put duvets under the bed sheets. Since the hotel was mostly empty we did not have a breakfast buffet all the time and what's left is mostly omelettes to chose from; the fruit platter on the menu was not available. They did have freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice which was a very positive point for me. Rooms are relatively small and the shower is inside the bath (very high step in and out not suitable for elderly people). The cold outside is overcompensated inside: the room was too hot with no way to regulate the temperature so the only way to cool it down was by opening the window. The fitness room was a joke: 4m² with (2) badly working equipment. There was enough staff however (more than guests I had the impression) and they were very friendly and helpful. Would I go back? Maybe, I stayed in the Radisson in Astana a month earlier and that was definitely not worth 3 times the price of this hotel.

Stairs and services but worth the money, given low
Publié le 16 janv. 2022 sur HotelsMy stay was overall good, I especially enjoyed the dinner at the bar and the local tea with berries. The room was not super clean but not dirty either, a bit worn out but tolerable for the price.
Couple things to be aware of: to get into hotel you have to climb two flights of stairs covered with snow. Not fun if you have luggage and if guest is elderly or weak otherwise it is not suitable.
Front desk was super helpful when I arrived at noon and even helped me fix internet on my phone. Although they didn't know how to call an official taxi that was allowed to drive after hours. ( Temporary restrictions due to riots). One concern is that my partner called the hotel at night to make sure I was up for the taxi and the front desk never called my room or mentioned it when I was leaving. It was all good and I was up anyway though.
The trip down the two flights of stairs covered in snow( not icy though) with all of my luggage was awkward to say the least.

Пожалела что остановилась в этом отеле. Отель совсем не дотягивает на 4 звезды. Еле дотягивает до 2. Покрывало на кровати было грязным. Воды в номере нет. Дверь уборной шатается. Я забыла косметичку в номере, но мне его не вернули, сказали что не нашли. В общем не рекомендую здесь останавливаться.

The staff were excellent and really helped us with arranging airport transfers and taxis around the city.
