All in all, a pretty safe, quiet, and comfortable stay.
The facility is rather old. It is set up 'lodge-style' with universal window air conditioners and doesn't have an elevator. I would recommend they work to install an elevator and transition to central air. The latter is especially important since the area has high heat and high humidity. The window AC worked, but seemed to fluctuate between too cold or too hot/muggy.
The front desk staff was especially nice and considerate.

Always an amazing stay. Rooms clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Nice indoor pool and hot tub, with a little patio area outside. Incredible breakfast. Wife and I prefer staying here when we get the chance.

We had an issue with our reservation not crossing over from Expedia. The staff member, Jameeka (I think was the spelling), was great and very helpful. We were just having one of those nights after a long drive. The place looked nice, especially for an older building. I kind of feel like the carpet had just been cleaned in our room. It was a little musty and the carpet was a bit damp but was tolerable. The shower was a bit slippery and the water pressure wasn’t great but it worked. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and the fridge was cold.
Breakfast was more than we were expecting after several days of disappointing motel breakfasts. They had a juice dispenser with orange and apple, coffee, cereal, muffins, toast, waffles, sausage, eggs (little omelets then scrambled eggs and cheese, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bananas, cuties, oatmeal packets and yogurt. I was quite impressed. Overall it was a much better experience than our last few days and both staff members we interacted with were very nice.
