I was disappointed by level of attentiveness by front desk. The leisure facilities were delayed opening and I was not informed when they were open even though asked if that could be done. There was little regard for my written comments on how the situation was addressed. Expected more respectful responsiveness from such an established hotel.

The government issued an alert to not travel due to a rare red weather event. There was significant damage to trees, homes, & debris on the roads. The hotel refused any refund & did not offer any credit or other voucher.

Could do better.

We stayed for 1 night. Room very clean but bed was terrible. 2 singles pushed together and no proper topper on the bed so you could feel the mattress rims in the middle. So uncomfortable and had 1 normal pillow and another small square cushion type with a pillow case . Very strange and not comfortable. Ate in the bar food was ok but quite expensive. Staff very nice. Probably wouldn't return as bed situation was ridiculous and unnecessary.
