Not happy with customer service. Hotel beautiful

I would not reccomend. Booked garden room. Tried to check in at 4pm. Room was not ready. Staff informed us to wait on a call to be updated on when room was ready. By 9pm still no phone call. Went back to reception for staff to giggle and say they forgot to call. Was given the key with no apology. Very unprofessional. Before writing review emailed hotel to explain upset as heavily pregnant and needed room earlier and was told lies that we were asked to come back in 15 minutes. No such thing. Then went on to say that room was ready before 5pm they just forgot to tell us. Would not reccomend.

It is with regret that you did not have a favourable experience during your recent stay. I do appreciate you taking my follow up phone call to explain that as the wedding meal was in progress, our Receptionist did not wish to disturb the wedding proceedings when your bedroom was ready soon after 4.30pm. It is regretful also that you did not wish to return to avail of our complimentary offer of Afternoon Tea and complimentary Room Upgrade should you wish to stay with us again. Loved loved this hotel. It was my favorite hotel we stayed in during our time in Ireland. It was clean and super comfortable and relaxed. The only negative thing was our dinner, the manager was super rude to us and was annoyed we didn’t have a reservation. But maybe he was having a bad day. Living in the states we didn’t know we would need a reservation for our own hotel. But overall we would come back and loved it!!

Nice friendly atmosphere and staff. food was great too! does anyone really need that many pillows and cushions? just means more work for the room teams, but it has a look so that is the aim I suppose.
