Disappointed Stay

The TV nor the phone worked in our room and the toilet was hard to flush. We alerted someone as we settled in to report that the TV didn't work (it was stuck on one channel). We were told to wait 10 minutes. Afterwards, the guide came on and we tried a few channels before leaving our room. When we returned later that night, the TV once again was not working. We picked up the phone to call the office, but the phone did not work as well. We walked to the office and the receptionist was very rude. When we told her about the TV, she said "Ya'll have been here all this time". We let her know that had absolutely nothing to do with the TV not working. She then asked "What to you want me to do? Do you want another room?" We absolutely wanted another room. The TV did not work in the next room as well, and there was a big stain on the sheet. We walked back to the office, and she went to get another lady to assist us. The new lady was very polite and helpful. We told her that we would rather go back to the first room because at least the sheets were not stained in there. She was eventually able to get the TV to work. She told us that customers come in and unhook cables to play video games etc. and don't hook them back before they leave. It's disappointing to know that the rooms are not checked to make sure everything is working and ready for the next customer. She checked the phone and told us she would come back the next day and change the phone cable (that never happened).

We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel for a bunch of little reasons. To start, we purposefully did not book a handicapped accessible room because they make me feel like I’m in a hospital. But we were put into an accessible room anyway. That meant we couldn’t park in front of our room because it was handicapped only, the toilet was too high. The room looked clean, and the sheets were clean. But we saw little baby roaches in the room. There was a large brown streak in our tub that looked like mud. Around midnight, when I saw more bugs, I tried to call to complain. Our in room phone didn’t work. I called on my cell to complain and the guy acted like he didn’t believe me about the roaches because they spray once a month. He pretended it was a non-issue and didn’t offer us a different room or any solution. We ended up keeping the lights on all night to discourage bug activity. So gross! I am perfectly okay with a lack of amenities in exchange for a lower rate, but bugs I can’t deal with. We won’t be back.

Great place to stay!

The room was very clean. That is very rare for a Motel 6.
