Terrible ordor
Publié le 5 sept. 2024 sur HomeAway The back yard looks NOTHING like the pictures. It has a damp basement ordor. We walked in and instantly the ordor hit us. My family member has terrible allergies so we decided it would be best not to stay.

Great location
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cottage is in close proximity to Downtown Decatur and had everything we needed. It’s in a quiet, nice neighborhood !
Dawn was great with communication and a real pleasure to speak to. The cottage is a definite when we return to Atlanta.

Decatur Cottage
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall ok, but ac units coming on and going off all night kept my family awake.
Plus, other occupants of the main house parked cars in the drive way that made incredibly difficult to access the unit. Very tough for my elderly Mother. No a good set up… would not rent again…. Certainly for that amount of money.

Jeffrey, I sent you my address and allowed you to come look at the space before you booked to make sure it would be OK for your mother. I’m not sure what I can do about the sound of the air conditioners. It is a whisper quiet unit and I’ve never had a complaint before. You very well knew the set up before you booked. I’m sorry you did not enjoy your stay. No matter how hard you try, you will never please everybody.

Beautiful Neighborhood

Week to see family in Atlanta
Publié le 26 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here to visit our daughter for the week. I thought the property was great. Nice neighborhood, convenient to the town square yet out of the way. The cottage was just the right size for two. However, our check-in was odd. The manager didn't expect us and didn't act like she even had vrbo rentals. I don't know if that's a vrbo issue (she later said we were expected a day later) or not.

I agree that check-in was confusing, I don’t think you read any of the check-in instructions because you didn’t know which rental you were staying in. You knocked on the front door of the main house and said that’s where you were supposed to be staying and I knew that wasn’t true, so I wasn’t sure what you were talking about. Once we figured out, you actually had a reservation in the cottage it all made sense. There are detailed check-in instructions given after a reservation is completed. In the future, I would make sure to read these directions.

Quiet & Private
Publié le 20 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayI thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The cottage was located in a private backyard. The home is at the end of a dead end street. Located neat Decatur Square and Oakhurst - many wonderful restaurants and a short drive to Atalanta’s museums, zoo etc.

Great location
Publié le 1 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe were visiting our daughter and this was a 5 minute walk through a very nice neighborhood to get to her apartment. Also an easy 10 - 15 minute walk to downtown Decatur. Cottage does tend to be a bit dark, but it was lovely sitting on the front porch listening to all the birds and the neighborhood was very quiet.
As a matter of personal taste, the mattress was too soft for us, if you have back issues that could be a problem.
