Consistently Wonderful

We love the wood stove, walking trails, kitchen supplies, and proximity to town. Michelle's communication is always top notch and her local suggestion booklet always leads us to finding a new favorite each time we visit! Cannot recommend staying here enough!

Perfect For Our Visit
Publié le 4 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I stayed two nights at Da Barn for our visit to see our nephew, who is in a Doctorate Program at Michigan Tech. Like others have said, the listing matched reality, with the property being clean, organized, and well-stocked. We are in our early 60's, and navigating the spiral staircase was not a problem, with traction strips on every step (we did bring our luggage in via the outside steps). Another nice thing was having an abundance of outlets, which provide plenty of options for all of our "must have devices" these days, even if you had the maximum number of four people. Finally, the property is centrally located, which made our exploring the area very easy. To summarize, you have no reason to not stay here! We highly recommend it, and plan on staying again during our next trip to Houghton / Hancock!

Peaceful stay
Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family loved our stay at the property! Peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed being away from the busyness and noise. It felt like being cuddled by nature that surrounded the beautiful home. We plan to go back! Thank you for the lovely time we had at the place!

Peaceful Escape to the Country
Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayComfortable, cozy and reasonably well appointed. Darn good kitchen and tools. Only suggestion would be to add a hot pot! We loved sitting out on the deck and overlooking the countryside; it was good for the soul! And, of course, lots to do in the area. We stayed 3 nights and were able to go up the peninsula and explore Houghton-Hancock. It was just what we needed.
