Summer Vacation

Close to the Au Train river and across the street from Da Kayak Shop and grocery store. Walking distance to Lake Superior. We will look to stay again

2024 Family Vacation
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayDa Big House was the perfect location for our annual family vacation with my sister in law & her kids. Ample beds, less than perfect WiFi which led to many card games :), nice fire pit for s’mores, & just a great location for exploring the area. We were minutes from the splash falls/pictured rocks tour in Munising, 40 minutes from Marquette where we enjoyed the Wright Street falls and jumped off Black Rocks. Just over 2 hours from Mackinac Island. We booked the shorter Au Train River kayak excursion & then played on the beach afterwards. The house is great & I cannot stress enough that it’s in a great location to explore the area from. Bonus gas & surprisingly well stocked grocery store across the street. In addition to a pastie, pizza, sandwich, & ice cream shop just a few doors down the street.

Nice stay
Publié le 30 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything was clean and pleasant, but would have been much better to have footstools, or even one large footstool so people can put their feet up after a long day. The beds were very comfortable, also.
