Make your Lake Superior experience memorable. As you walk to the front door you will be greeted by a view of the lake. Opening the front door invites you to the wall of windows overlooking the lake, AuTrain Island, and Grand Island. Complementary snacks will be awaiting you after your day of travel. With over 3,000 square feet of space, this home offers intimate spaces yet also accommodates up to 14 guests. The fully stocked kitchen and living space overlooks the lake and has plenty of seating for everyone. WiFi is included and each room has a smart TV with internet streaming services.
Three separate suites await you. The main floor suite, the Sunrise Suite, has an attached bath that includes a shower, 2 sinks and a walk-in closet. The cozy bedroom boasts a king-sized bed on a hickory log frame and pine flooring from the local Trenary mill. It offers AMAZING views of the sun rising over the lake. There is also an attached 3-season porch perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or a glass of wine.
The second suite, the Eagle’s Nest is located upstairs. It has 3 skylights offering lots of natural light, and overlooks the great room and the lake. The queen bed frame was made by a local artisan. It has an adjacent bath with both a tub and shower. Just past the bath is a log bunk and futon, as well as the loft living area (futon is comparable in size to a double bed and the top bunk is a twin size bed), including an attached deck with a bistro table and chairs - another amazing place to begin or end your day!
The third suite, the Bear’s Lair is located downstairs in the lower level. It offers a cozy, rustic feel, with a king sized bed on a bed platform made from local cedar rounds. It has an attached bath that includes a shower and double sinks. The bedroom also attaches via a barn door to the lower level living space that includes a double bunk bed, and a foosball table.
Last but certainly not least, the large back deck, accessed both from the living room and the Sunrise Suite porch, is only 25 feet from the water. and overlooks one of the two fire pits. A picture perfect place to hang out and enjoy the scenery and the good company.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only a 15 minute drive from this home, and there are over a dozen waterfalls within a 30 mile radius. The National Lakeshore, as well as the Hiawatha National Forest provide days of outdoor activities and adventures. Hiking, picnicking, ATVing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, camping, mountain biking, and fishing are all at your fingertips. In the winter, snowmobiling, skiing, ice fishing, snow shoeing, and ice climbing are all available. Nearby AuTrain Lake and the AuTrain River provide wonderful opportunities for swimming, water sports, fishing, or a relaxing paddle. If you are into fishing, bass, walleye, and pike are most commonly fished in AuTrain Lake, and trout and salmon are most commonly fished in Lake Superior. Kayak rentals and guided tours are available locally, as are pontoon boat rentals, boat tours, charter fishing trips, and ATV rentals. If you have your own equipment feel free to bring it as there is plenty of room at this home to park your boat, trailer or whatever you bring.

He is available to meet with you after your arrival to answer any questions you might have, and is available by phone at anytime during your stay to help you make the most of your time in the UP.
