Auburn getaway!
Publié le 2 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house was amazing. Beautiful yard, amazing views, and located just far enough from town to have everything you need nearby and still feel a bit secluded. Bob had something cooking in the smoker which filled the yard with something delicious! Both he and Jean were a pleasure to meet and chat with a bit. All in all a great trip and awesome property!

Wonderful and Relaxing

The kitchen is well stocked with every type of utensil, small appliance, or dinnerware you could want. We arrived later in the evening and walked in to find a lovely bottle of wine and fresh flowers waiting for us! In addition, the dozen farm fresh eggs Jean left in the frig were a welcome treat! If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay again! Thanks for the enjoyable stay Jean and Bob!

Not what it seems & unreasonable hosts.
Publié le 20 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe first night we were there we were awakened in the middle of the night by a strong smoke smell from nearby fires. The poor air quality was rising quickly. After it reached 300 we messaged our hosts for help with no response so called hotels to get out of the area. We struggled to breath easily. We left early in the morning after only being there a few hours. The air quality reached 500 a few hours later. We were grateful to have left. They responded hours later that the smoke will clear our soon, which was nebulous, unhelpful & not true. They said it was up to VRBO to give a refund. VRBO said it was up to the owner. The owner said they would not refund for fire/smoke issues. We had not used the place, put the sheets in the washer for them & did not return. We were charged for all 4 days. Finally they advertised the pool & hot tub but know that you have to pay a lot to have the pool heated and there are restrictions around the hot tub not to mention it is cold & you have to wait hours for it actually heat up. This place was not what it seemed from the description. The hosts were uncaring, unreasonable & unhelpful.

We strive to provide a wonderful experience for our guests and I’m disappointed that your stay wasn’t what you expected. As you know, during the dates of your stay the area experienced a wildfire. The Mosquito Fire went on to burn over 75,000 acres. Nearly 12,000 people were ordered to evacuate. While it was incredibly disappointing that the air quality was poor during your stay, as a host we cannot be held responsible for wildfires or unforeseen weather conditions. You also mentioned that we didn’t respond to your text but it was sent at 4:45 am and we were asleep. We responded to you as soon as we could that morning. We do clearly note that there is a cost to heat the pool and spa and that it does take some time to heat which is why we request advanced notice. Fortunately, the fire is now fully contained and the air in Auburn is once again clear. We would be happy to have you back again and give you the experience you were hoping for. Auburn is a beautiful place and wildfires of this magnitude are rare. Please reach out to us directly if you would like to arrange another visit.

A little slice of Heaven

The owners were friendly and upon arrival we had a welcome bottle of wine & beautiful eggs from their chickens. We were only there for the weekend but it felt like a longer holiday. We spent an entire warm sunny Saturday enjoying their gorgeous pool. It was delightful!
The space was lovely, the bed was super comfy, the A/C worked great and having a W/D was a plus! Many other essentials were provided as well.
We holiday in rental homes regularly and this definitely stands out with lovely little touches. We had a wonderful stay!

Pure heaven

The grounds are like living in a photograph,,just picture perfect,
Walk ways to the most beautiful pool areas, magical, inviting, calming for the soul.
We have had 9 feet of snow,,,we needed a break from the ice,,,
Perfect place to land,
The loft we rented was cozy, lots of room, bed was comfy.
It was perfect, we had flowers and wine waiting,,, and a dozen of farm fresh eggs,,nice welcoming touch,,
Then the owners,,, oh my,, they are kind, thoughtful, easy to communicate with,they were there when ever you had a question .
But very respectful of your space,,,
We are definitely going back,,,a class set up for pampering your self…
Very safe place to bring your dog, gated areas keep them safe..
