Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was such a special place. The hosts were so thoughtful and kind. We enjoyed this large beautiful space and treasured our hot tub moments listening to the wildlife at night. The location was perfect for our explorations across the middle if Scotland.

Wonderful Retreat!
Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWoodland Retreat was a lovely place to stay, with everything you could need being provided. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, the beds were really comfy and the views are stunning. We would highly recommend this property.

A slice of Scottish heaven !

The retreat was luxury from start to finish with beautiful touches throughout the property to create the feeling of a home away from home. Wi-Fi connection was excellent and full cable services and digital apps available, which was perfect for rainy days. The beds where super comfy and I even returned home and purchased the same pillows that they had !
The hot tub and sauna where perfect after a day of skiing to come back to. I can honestly not fault this place at all, 15 minute drive to ASDA, Tesco, M&S Food Hal and Aldi.
If your looking for peace and serenity, beautiful views and wildlife along with a touch of luxury then this is the place to book!

It helped that we had great weather so sat in the peaceful garden with our dog and watched the wildlife . We ate out at the Kirkstyle Inn food was lovely , it was busy so I would recommend booking . We also ate out at Gleneagles, both occasions we needed taxis which was expensive for the 10 min journey. Fabulous butchers in Auchterarder , swimming in Perth only 15/20mins away which our son loved the flumes. Fishing was great , hot tub was easy to light to heat up we used it every day . Will defo go back , peaceful chilled restful week just what we needed

Excellent location as close to so many places to visit. Disappointed I didn't get time for a game of tennis!
(Perhaps property is not ideal for dogs as they have to stay outside or in shed. We were out a lot and weather was good so not a problem.) Lisa and Jamie very hospitable and welcoming.

Thank you for this lovely review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at The Woodland Retreat. We appreciate it is a compromise allowing dogs to stay at a five star allergy free property. Our outhouse/drying room is only suitable for two small dogs. It is bright and airy with underfloor heating. Regular guests who bring their larger dogs like to use the unheated shed with a half stable door. With so many lovely dog walks from the cottage door, it’s our compromised way of allowing guests to bring a pet. 😊

A fantastic week at the Woodland Retreat

Great location for exploring both the local countryside, lochs etc and further afield with excellent train links from Gleneagles to Stirling, Edinburgh & Glasgow.

Publié le 18 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayEin wundervoller Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen Haus mit ganz tollen, zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Haus ist ganz toll und sehr durchdacht eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, jederzeit behilflich und bei Fragen zur Stelle. Ich kann das Haus und die Gastgeber uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
