A hidden gem! During a recent trip to New Zealand to visit family, we stayed at the Aarangi Motel on several different occasions, each time in a different room. Every room was very clean and well appointed, with great quality, comfortable bed linen and towels and lovely toiletries. The motel is just a couple of minutes walk to the beach, and set in a quiet location. We enjoyed walking to the bars and eateries in Mission Bay, just a ten minute walk around the bay. We loved the retro feeling of the motel, which made a welcome change from soulless, bland new accommodation that seems to be the norm these days. The hosts are fantastic, very friendly and made us feel very welcome every time we returned. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to New Zealand!

Older, well kept and clean Motel
