Refusing to refund night when hotel was closed
I was turned away when checking in because the hotel had a flooding issue on the day of my arrival, so they were closed. The manager instructed me to cancel my reservation in the app, because their alternative properties were not convenient for my travel plans, and they would waive the cancellation policy. I'm currently being told by hotels.com that the hotel is sticking to the cancellation policy and won't give me my refund for the 2 rooms I had booked. The hotel was shut down and I couldn't even stay!

Great hotel and staff. Even though its a little out of town it was worth it to see Coldplay. Only thing i would add is the door tags saying no house keeping or yes please clean my room. Would save housekeeping having to knock on every door to see if you wanted your room done.

I just wished they give us fresh towels every day. Reason for this coz saving water. We lived in same city and Auckland not short of water. And it be nice they tidy or clean room daily not until we checked out.
