I recently stayed at Heimly in Flåm, Norway, for two nights, and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Despite paying nearly $400 per night, the service we received was far from what we expected.
Our troubles began immediately upon arrival. The reception staff, particularly one individual, was incredibly rude and unaccommodating. On the first night, we were forced to change rooms, a major inconvenience that disrupted our stay. This move was neither explained nor apologized for, adding to our frustration.
The dining experience was equally unpleasant. Despite the restaurant having ample space, the same receptionist refused to seat us. Her demeanor made us feel like unwelcome intruders rather than valued guests at an upscale establishment. It was as though we were employees being ordered around rather than paying customers.
Also they only have 1 Regualr key per room, so if you misplaced your key, your locked out of your room for the night, and they won’t help you!! Because it’s your fault you lost your key right?
Overall, the service was appalling and completely tarnished what should have been a memorable stay in Flåm. The hotel's management needs to seriously address their staff's attitude and customer service standards. For the high price we paid, we expected far better treatment and a more welcoming atmosphere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
