Quiet Home Base
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife, a friend, and stayed at Penny River for 4 nights while we were in town for a multi-day event. It was perfectly located between the two venues we were attending. One near Manor, and one in SE downtown. With traffic it was about 20 minutes to each. The cabin was a great place to come back to after the day's activites and relax. The neighborhood may look a little scary to some, but it was nice, quiet, and peaceful.. Jim, the host was very attentive and took great care of us.

Thanks so much for your booking. When I found this incredible spot on the Colorado River with its magnificent view, I too worried a bit about it being at the back end of asomewhat impoverished mobile home park. To my great surprise, while clearing the half acre of property, these very same neighbors came over with water and snacks and even tacos on several occasions. Their sin is just being poor -- if it can be called one. They are otherwise wonderful folks and I've been happy to help them in return with food and cosmetics, even clothing left behind by some guests. Thank you for your wonderful review. I've managed to merit an average 5-stars for the 6 years I've been a member of VRBO and I'm proud of the positive remarks left by well over 90% of all guests. Come again! We'll be looking for you!

Birthday Get-a-way

The property owner was communicative and responded promptly. The property offers a very functional kitchen to cook for a family and excellent washer and dryer to get your laundry done before you end your trip!

Steven and his party of four were especially polite and proper. They were wonderfully respectful of my home and left the cabin clean as a whistle. Feel comfortable in booking this group -- they're terrific!

A Nice Stay
Publié le 8 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy friends and I came for a bachelorette trip, and we enjoyed our stay. Everyone commented on how cute the cabin was and enjoyed the stay. Mr. Jim was very nice and accommodating. I apricated the tour of the property when I arrived to go over the rules and regulations of the cabin. We all had a great time and would book again.

Austin Adjacent Property
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWell stocked, conveniently located home with a very comfortable bed and sofas. Nice outdoor area with grill for outdoor living - weather permitting. Quick and easy access to the highway and Austin and an extemely amenable host who let us have a late check out because our flight out was delayed.

Graduation weekend

Despite their large number, Marisha's party of 6 dazzling girl friends were terrific guests and left the cabin sparkling. They were fun, beautiful to meet and good as guests get! Hurry back! =)

Very nice hideaway!

The kitchen was very well stocked, which is important to us as we cook our own meals whenever possible on our trips. It is located very close to COTA so that made it very easy to get to the track and back.
