Love this place!
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayJim is a wonderful host and is always there to greet you. The home is so charming and is just as described. We’ve stayed here more than once and if we are going to COTA I look early so I can stay with Jim.

Austin Adjacent Property
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWell stocked, conveniently located home with a very comfortable bed and sofas. Nice outdoor area with grill for outdoor living - weather permitting. Quick and easy access to the highway and Austin and an extemely amenable host who let us have a late check out because our flight out was delayed.

Carey and his beautiful family were great guests. They left the cabin as they found it -- clean and orderly. They're the perfect guests; don't hesitate to have them book your own property!

Graduation weekend
Publié le 16 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were in town for our daughter's graduation. The location was perfect for us as it was outside of town, but very close to the airport. The backyard view is beautiful, and the host was very helpful.

Despite their large number, Marisha's party of 6 dazzling girl friends were terrific guests and left the cabin sparkling. They were fun, beautiful to meet and good as guests get! Hurry back! =)

Very nice hideaway!

The kitchen was very well stocked, which is important to us as we cook our own meals whenever possible on our trips. It is located very close to COTA so that made it very easy to get to the track and back.

Great host, great patio, great property
Publié le 13 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were in Austin for a week for our daughter's wedding. We had numerous friends and family visit us at the property. There is plenty of parking, plenty of chairs, great patio and a great view of the river. The host lives behind the property which was a great asset as he was always "on call" if/when we needed him. The property is close to the airport so that was also a plus for us as we had lots of folks coming and going. I highly recommend this VRBO for folks who want a quiet place with rustic beauty.

Dee's and Ed's guests were lighthearted and full of fun. Despite nearly a dozen of them enjoying the deck and the view of the beautiful Colorado River, they totally respected the place and left it in pristine condition. Ladies and gentlemen, every single one of them. HURRY BACK guys; Penny River lives for folks like you!

LIsa's party a "girl's day out" with family. They were gracious and fun-loving and left the cabin hospital-clean. They were wonderful quiet and respectful of the property. Y'all hurry back!

Thanksgiving 2023
Publié le 26 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property was just what I was looking for. Peaceful, homey, quaint with beautiful landscaping with view of the Colorado River. We were so close to San Antonio (1 HR) we took a day trip there. Will definitely return!

Hosts can only hope guests will overlook a shortcoming under certain circumstances, for instance, in asking to arrive 2 hours early perhaps the fridge wasn't perfectly clean. You can bend over backwards to make up for the 1% of what wasn''t perfect -- and hope the guest rates you on the 99% that was. You can knock on the door and let them know you're going into town and offer to bring them something they've overlooked, only to have them ask to come along with you, to which you happily say "of course!". You can overlook the fact that they book your place for 2 people but show up with 5, or find their grandkid's reading glasses after they've checked out and not only alert them but spring for the FedExt cost to ship them to the child or help them search for the other kid's missing cell phone, only to have all such efforts fall short of making up for what wasn't perfect. So no, please don't hurry back; good faith effort is either in the heart of both host and guest or not, likely knocking me out of Premier Host ranking. That's a tough knock on a decorated Vietnam War Era Vet who at 81 depends on Hosting to stay alive.
