Worth it just make sure the air is on!
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home was so lovely to stay in, felt like we were staying in an old home that has been renovated so nicely. The kitchen was beautiful as well as the pool, wish we didn't have to have only the 5 strict hours access to the pool. That was a big bummer...
Also, when we were checking in the heat was on and it was 98f in the house and that was not refreshing at all. It took the whole evening and night to finally cool the place down. Not fun after coming in from a hot day in the Texas July heat. Just make sure the air is on for the next guest you have coming in...
Also, the freezer was not keeping cold. Again when we checked in there was a chunk of ice in the ice cube tray. It was hot and we just wanted to cool down with something cold and refreshing to drink and there was no ice available.
We would love to come back as it was a great place over all - it was a great location to all downtown fun!

Bachelor Weekend
Publié le 31 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was a cool relief from the unseasonably warm May weather. We spent a lot of time cooling off in the pool and making friends with the sociable neighbors. All seemed friendly and willing to get to know their temporary neighbors. Location for fun nights out in downtown Austin is essential, cheap and readily available Ubers save a lot of time and money

Nice spot, very strict rules

There was no option for early check in or late checkout, even though they had no guests coming in the day we left. There are signs everywhere that you will get charged for any small things you do in the space, yet there are doors that don't fully shut and peeling surfaces in the bathroom. It was still clean, but I was on edge most of the time that I was going to get hit with fees for something.

Deceptive but Okay
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWell, they have this nice pool picture, giving you the perception it is the pool for this house. The pool is in another yard. Also, you get the house on VRBO, and you have to make another agreement with the management company. This is so aggravating. I ALREADY BOOKED ON VRBO. The management company was awesome so that was a little saving grace.
The house was just okay; they advertised like it was some stellar house. Maybe my standards are different when they use the words they use marketing this house. Overall, it was average, and I would stay here with different expectations. It would have had four starts. I just don't like deceptive advertising.
Last very open house if you want privacy, like shutting drapes, etc. There are none to close. One TV in only the living room was frustrating for some of the guests I had staying with me, too. They would have liked a TV in their room.

Great location, amenities could be improved
Publié le 3 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was overall in a great location (provided you had a car) to get around Austin. Picking up on what other reviews mentioned and were not addressed. The lighting was strange, the overhead lighting kept turning on and off and light switches did not match up. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, but we had impression not many people actually cooked meals there. Admittedly, we ate out mostly, but did try to prepare a brunch and had to be creative with kitchen items. Significantly, there was NO wine opener/corkscrew and hairdryer. When we contacted number provided by text to address a house issue, there was no answer EVER. We ended up purchasing both at a local Target but issue had been raised by prior renters so would have been nice to be addressed before we arrived. Bathroom doors offered little privacy as they were vented closet doors so that was also a little odd as well and took some getting used to. It was clean, however, there was also a large amount of black mold on the main bath fabric shower curtain that should have been noticed by cleaners and replaced. Overall home was good, but some TLC could be used to maintain the property.
