Camp Sandy is a gated, lakefront estate and is all about the experience. Many activities, on a beautiful and very private property.....100% 5-Star reviews. The 6800 square foot home sits on 4 acres of lake frontage on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas and sleeps 28. The property has 420 feet of water frontage that is flat to the lake so you can walk right in, this is not one of those properties that is up high on a cliff with just a lake view. Bachelor/Bachelorette parties welcome.

We have a beautiful lakeside swimming pool and giant hot tub!

Lake Travis is currently down 39 feet, so the cove in front of the house does not have any water in it. No public boat ramps are open.

The property is 2.2 miles from HEB grocery store, gas station, 7-11, restaurants, Walgreens, Target, Wells Fargo, etc….and it is the closest Lake Travis rental property to downtown
(just 22 minutes) and only 27 miles to Austin Bergstrom International Airport, making it the most desirable part of Lake Travis.

The upstairs has a massive open great room, living and dining area with a beautiful view of the lake and there is a spacious kitchen with island counter seating,. For bedrooms, there is a master, and 2 individual rooms with king beds.

Downstairs has a large game room, media room (Media room has 5 Full size beds and serves as 2 bedrooms), a bunk room with 3 bunk beds, a room with a king and murphy bed, a room with a full, a kitchen, and 3 bathrooms.

Perfect
Camp Sandy is the perfect place for a family get away. There is so much to do for everyone and the house is a great fit for lots of kids. Very comfortable family area. This was our third stay and we are looking forward to the next one.

Boys Trip
The property is truly spectacular. It has everything you could ever need and more. David was an exceptional host, giving a highly informative tour at check-in and maintaining excellent communication throughout our stay. Family reunion at Camp Sandy
We came to Camp Sandy for the UT football game and a family reunion. The house and property were amazing! The host, David, was super helpful and responded quickly to questions or needs. He even brought us some local food. The house is enormous with lots of kitchen space (4 refrigerators!), lots of king bedrooms and games to play both inside and outside. The pool and hot tub were a hit too. The only problem was that the lake levels are down so we couldn't do some of the water sports like kayaking. That said, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed with your stay.

Great Lake House!
Had my bachelor party here and it was amazing. The house is beautiful, with a whole property including a pool and a hot tub. David was fantastic, and was very communicative. David got our group breakfast tacos one morning and tiffs cookies on the last night. Highly recommend!

Our family (13 adults and 3 kids) had such an amazing time at Camp Sandy. David was the best host we've ever had and the property is perfect - so much room, so many outdoor and indoor activities, and the house itself was great. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be going back.

Good place for 3 day family reunion
Property location was good with access to retail and food trucks. The property is not near water since the lake is low. And we didn't find a path to the water. Great room and kitchen on upper level were wonderful as was the game room in lower level. Be aware that the pool, which got a lot of use, is away from the property (very short hike) and there is a hill to descend, and the return is a climb up. Then there are steps to the upper level. Lots of fun things to do both inside and out. Drawback was the mattresses except for me and my wife who had the master suite (very nice). Overall, I would recommend this with the understanding that we knew what we had going in. Plus, our 7 grandchildren, ages 3 to 18 were never bored. How do we know? Because they never complained, and they want to do this next year. P.S. Bring bottled water because the location has well water that is not tasteful.

Superior vacation experience at Camp Sandy
The home is well appointed, the owner/mgr is always available to answer questions and the surroundings are lovely and full of so so many things to do. This is our 5th year at Camp Sandy and 3rd year of no water in the cove. But the pool is awesome, so was sand volleyball, corn hole, putting, shuffleboard, and on and on and on. This is a large family get together each year and we all agree it feels like home.

Wonderful Memories
David was helpful every step of the way. He ensured everyone was comfortable. We ranged in age from 5 years to 76years old. There were activities for everyone. The pool was a huge success. Life jackets, water toys & rafts were all provided (even sunscreen). Corn hole, sand volleyball and so much more. Inside there were games, puzzles and 2 karaoke machines. Again, inside toiletries were available. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We made memories. Thank you, David. We loved Camp Sandy.

Great Family Reunion at a Great Place!!
Camp Sandy is a great place for a large group! There are plenty of things to do and spread out if needed! We were a group of 27 and never felt crowded at all! David, the owner and manager went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Anytime I would text a question or concern he was right on it, not too many owners take care the way he does! Thanks David for a wonderful time!

Amazing experience
Staying here was an amazing experience. We were a couple in our 70’s with three adult children who brought their spouses and own children ranging in age from 1 1/2 years to 15. There was something for every age group to enjoy—all the kids fell into bed exhausted every night after playing hard all day. The home, while not fancy, was clean and offered enough space for each family to have space for privacy. It was also incredibly well stocked; more generously than most, not only providing more than enough towels, shampoos, and soaps but also unexpected amenities like ice chests for borrowing, stand mixer in kitchen, lots of suntan lotion, lighter fluid/wood for firepit s’mores night, etc etc. We were actually glad that there was no lakefront because there were so many young nonswimmers, but guests should be aware of possibility. The pool and hot tub were well used and appreciated. David, our host, was the most involved and helpful host we’ve ever had. He met us the first day to walk us through the property, and texted every day to check in and make sure there were no problems. He gave us breakfast burritos on the first morning, and warm cookies on our last, all devoured gratefully by our hordes. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Amazing property!

A 65th Birthday Celebration Full of Memories
If David could host every VRBO property, I would stay in them all. From the initial contact, until the day we left, he was amazing and helpful every step of the way. It was winter and the lake was down, but that did not stop the fun. There was no lack of entertainment on the property. It was a perfect place for all ages - my 7 siblings, their children, and a few of my nieces and nephew's children, were able come and reunite. I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking for a space for your family or group to gather, cook, play, "chill", have some space for free moments to yourself and on top of that, be hosted by the best! Camp Sandy is all that much, much more. My family was complimentary of every aspect of the facility and of our host. LOVE Camp Sandy!

Super host, David, went above and beyond! Amazing hospitality from a personal tour upon check in to special treats during our stay! Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms with extras! David thought of everything to make our stay comfortable! This home met all of our needs from 6 months to 92 years. The property is amazing! You could easily stay here a week without leaving. We did venture out to recommended restaurants, wineries, hiking trails and enjoyed personal chef, Mike, New Year’s Eve! Absolutely a fantastic experience! Camp Sandy is nothing short of amazing. The property owner/manager has to be the best I have ever had. They truly take pride in ensuring their guests have a wonderful experience. The property itself was everything we hoped it would be. We were there for a Bachelor party and never wanted to leave. There was just so much to do. We had an absolute blast. Camp Sandy comes well stocked with all you need for a fun weekend along with very comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. I would stay here again in a second and I encourage you to as well.
