Great rental

We had a great stay at this rental. Even though as some other reviews suggest, the condo is a bit outdated, it would not deter us from renting this condo again. The location is great (we’ve been in OBX multiple times and love Avon!) and the ocean views can’t be beat. Waking up every morning to the sun rising over the ocean was amazing. If you’re a family like ours, and aren’t bothered by the condo being a little outdated, I would highly recommend this rental!

Great location, lacks communication

I loved the location. Especially the sunrise was beautiful. The condo was a bit outdated but still very comfortable and clean. It was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Nothing about that was written in the description. I’m 69 and my husband is 70. We both have health issues. Really a long hall. Vacasa did a very poor job with communication. That’s a long story but I had to call them twice the first day. We had problems getting into the condo because they didn’t explain the lock. They also gave us the wrong code for the pool. They also sent 2 emails on how to check out and they had totally different requirements in both.

Good location and nice view from the balconies but definitely needs some updates. Furniture inside not in great shape and the bathrooms look like they havent been updated at all. There should be some description about which floor this is on. Alot of stairs to get to the top floor.

Filthy, overpriced, Roach infested, broken and very used furniture

When we checked in, I had to wash all the dishes, utensils, coffee maker etc. There was caked on tomato sauce in a pan in the cabinet, old food in the utensils in the drawers...etc. The furniture is broken, badly stained, and dirty. the porch is useless as over half of it is full of storage furniture. I found a live roach. The front door lock did not work. I complained and received no response, I eventually even checked out early and complained in person. I have stayed in other units in this complex and found them in much better condition. This place is an overpriced dump and needs some serious upgrades. When I stayed with a different unit, there was much better support and help. VAcasa is not interested in your vacation, nor your pleasure. Once you pay for it, you are stuck with it. They did not offer to help nor reimburse me for the problems I had and the lack of cleanliness.

Our local manager assured us that the furniture on the deck was removed, and the slipcovers on the furniture have been replaced with new ones. Additionally, the front door lock has been checked and found to be in good working order. We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness details that were missed and we hope the compensation you received helped alleviate some of your frustration. Avon Dream

The property is amazing and we definitely enjoyed our stay. We will be using you again for stays. Only issue with this property is that it is at the top of the stairs the very tiptop so if you have a lot to pack up and a lot to take down it is quite the trip. Enjoyed our stay immensely!

Avon rental

We loved the location and overall had a wonderful vacation. The VRBO was not very clean when we arrived. There was shaving cream and hair stuck to the shower wall, the microwave was covered in spattered cooked food and smelled. The dishwasher had an odor to it when we used it. We also vacuumed when we arrived because the carpets were covered in sand and crumbs.

Beautiful Gem close to the beach

LOVED our vacation here. This was perfect for our family. Comfortable beds, ocean views and everything you could need for cooking away from home. Climbing the stairs was a little tiresome, but once you are up the view and beautiful condo make the sairs not seem so bad.
