The room is overpriced and extremely small.
When we turned up at the door on the day, we were told insistently that we’d found the wrong place twice until we showed them your confirmation letter. The owner lady hadn’t checked first before her refusal of our entrance and made us feel so unwelcome. If it’s not because of the time of the day and our exhaustion, we’d have left and found another place. My husband and I are greatly disappointed.

Disappointed to read this review on your stay .We do wish you had voiced your concerns when staying with us as we could have discussed your issues . As for the room, we certainly could have offered you a room move to larger suites, and to date we have not received any comments on that particular room size nor cost, which as you know included complimentry items and a substantual breakfast .The " Owner lady" did not refuse your entry to the Homestead, and at all times was courteous beyond reproach. We do hope you enjoy the remainder of your travels , and we as a family run Homestead B&B take pride in our Product and our Hospitality. We are really disappointed as mentioned that you did not enjoy your stay with us .

Would come back to stay!
Publié le 14 févr. 2020 sur HotelsThis place was lovely and spacious and very friendly. The beach run in the morning was my absolute favorite...it’s a short jog to miles and miles of pristine beach. My only warning is for the ladies with long hair...bring your own conditioner! The type they had in the shower didn’t work at all and I had a ‘rat’s nest’ until the next time I washed it with my own conditioner.

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us .As for the conditioner, we use all natural guest amenities and although we are on collected / harvested water supply, it is deemed as soft and should lather up well, and have the desired affect. No comments to date on the hair products effectiveness, but we are looking into the conditioner with our supplier and may change it.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming, the accommodation was clean, inviting and really homely, it was a delight staying there. The gardens were fantastic too.

What a great place! Staff are extremely helpful, professional and kind. Not much around in terms of modern conveniences but that’s part of the appeal.

Thank you for the review .We appreciate your feedback and we are so glad you enjoyed the Homestead and your stay with us .As for modern conveniences, we think it is the charm of the area and at least the local Town ( Hokitika ) is just around 10 minutes by car .Hope your travels in NZ were filled with happy memories .
